BMW K-Series description

First bike

1985 k 100 was a daily driver till I bought another bike last week. Has windshield, Corbin seat,  and bags. Rear case not attached but is included as is the luggage rack.

Its registered, recent tires, battery. runs great. Speedo broke at 70 k miles, I estimate I put another 10 k miles on it.

No title, not needed it Vermont for a bike over 15 years old.

The second bike is a 84 or 85 k 100 with 32 k miles on the clock, I bought it as  a parts bike.  The main wire harness need to be replaced, (small fire), alternator was also missing.

I pulled the plugs to make sure it was not seized, pistons move. I have never seen this bike running. Includes box of parts shown.

no title

I believe everything else  is here to get it running.

Will not separate

OEMs Plug into Electric Bikes

Sat, 01 Nov 2008

KTM introduced its prototype electric motorcycle earlier this week, and electric bike manufacturer Zero Motorcycles almost immediately responded by opening sales on its 2009 Zero X dirt bike (look for our review of the 2008 model next week!). But these two companies aren’t the only ones exploring the possibilities of electric-powered motorcycles. In September, Japan’s largest industrial information journal Nikkei Business Daily reported that both Honda and Yamaha have set target dates for launching their own electric-powered motorcycles.

Racing at the Bonneville Salt Flats requires more than a little good luck. Weather plays such an important role in the speed of the salt and whether the event is even held at all. This year, Valerie Thompson experienced the full spectrum of Bonneville racing.

BMW Unveils E-Scooter Concept

Fri, 01 Jul 2011

As we expected BMW has revealed information about a new scooter model, releasing pictures of a new electric maxi-scooter concept. The BMW E-Scooter was developed with funding form Germany’s Federal Ministry of Transport, Building and Urban Development. The E-Scooter was created with two goals in mind: to offer performance comparable to a 600cc combustion engine-powered maxi-scooter and to offer sufficient range for an urban commuter. BMW wanted the E-Scooter to provide enough power and speed for freeway passing and climbing steep slopes even with a pillion passenger.
