BMW K-Series description

(I will have more photos shortly. Rig looks better in person than these photos--basically in showroom condition.) This 1985K100 sidecar rig is a total off-frame nut and bolt restoration. Over $6K in receipts. All screws and seals replaced. No rust. New tires, brakes, and upholstery. With only 22K miles on the bike, the engine is 100-percent rebuilt, in essence a new engine, with only 900 miles since rebuild. The professional black paint job is extra nice, no runs, and makes this rig
look new. This is an easy, comfortable and surprisingly powerful ride making 90 horsepower. Please check back for more photos. Leave a phone number please if you would like to discuss price or a possible Buy It Now added to the auction. As with all my vehicle auctions, the winner must be happy in person--so please bid with confidence. (No long joyrides please.)

Fri, 16 Mar 2012

Such speculation about BMW entering Grand Prix racing may sometimes be dismissed as idle musings, but the fact the interview was with MotoGP’s official website holds some significance.

BMW Streamlines WSBK Program, Hands Reins to BMW Italia

Mon, 16 Jul 2012

BMW announced it realigning its World Superbike Championship program, with BMW Motorrad Italia taking over as the company’s factory team in 2013. The German manufacturer is currently represented by two teams in the WSBK championship, the BMW Motorrad with Marco Melandri and Leon Haslam and the BMW Motorrad Italia Goldbet team represented by Michel Fabrizio and Ayrton Badovini (there is also a privateer effort of Mark Aitchison riding a BMW S1000RR for the Grillini Progea team.) Next year however, BMW’s Milan-based Italian arm will be responsible for the factory team as well as chassis development and testing. BMW Motorrad itself will focus on developing the power train and electronics.
