If you buy ALL the farkles on the list above, I'll drop the total price to $8,795 (that's a discount of more than 61% off list pricing for farkles!). And it would come with

- Two seats: Low and Comfort.
- Two sets of luggage: hard and soft.
- Two mufflers: OEM and Akrapovic (the BMW OEM version).
- Two windshields: OEM and Desierto III.
- Two sets of tires: Used OEM Tourance (mounted); and New Full Bore M-40 (unmounted).

Runs and rides perfectly. Only issues are purely aesthetic:
  • Four bolts holding crossbar on crashbars are rusted. I thought the factory stainless bolts didn't look as cool as black ones. Then the black ones rusted, and I lost the stainless ones - doh! Lesson learned. I would think you could find 4 replacements for under $10.
  • Similar story on some small bolts that hold the mirror extenders onto the handlebars. Another $10 to fix - just haven't gotten around to it.
  • Pelican cases are starting to fade and have some scratches
  • MondoMoto LED lights have faded from black to bronze (common problem)
  • Wolfman racks have some slight scratches/surface rust where the Pelicans have been mounted (only seen when bags are off)
  • A couple very small scratches on crash bars from three drops – one at a gas station when kickstand didn’t deploy properly (doh!), and two in a friend’s crazy soft dirt driveway at no more than 3 MPH.
  • Minor scratch on frame at point where crash bars mount - never touched it up with black paint so it shows a tiny bit of surface rust.
Bike is located in Milford, NH - just 30 minutes from Manchester airport, or a bit more than an hour to Boston's Logan airport. Ready to fly-n-ride! Or I can help you arrange shipping. I've done this with two other bikes with good success.

BMW S1000RR stars in new Black Eyed Peas video

Thu, 04 Mar 2010

WE'RE NOT quite sure exactly what the Black Eyed Peas are trying to say in the video to their latest single 'Imma Be Rocking That Body' but they're cool enough to be using a BMW S1000RR superbike in the new film.Check out Fergie as she gyrates her stuff; from what we can gather she's going to be over there on the next left, rocking her body to a bass clef, while taking pictures with her crew and licking something at the same time. Does her Mum know she talks like that?

Don't become another crime statistic

Mon, 13 Jun 2011

On average approximately 50,000 motorcycles are stolen each year. They're taken from outside homes, from large urban environments across the countries major cites and highly organised gangs are at the heart of thefts preying on innocent motorcyclists. Experts of motorcycle security, Acumen advise on how to protect your bike: How to reduce the chance of theft Protection is like layers of an onion – the more the layers; the longer it takes.

OEMs Plug into Electric Bikes

Sat, 01 Nov 2008

KTM introduced its prototype electric motorcycle earlier this week, and electric bike manufacturer Zero Motorcycles almost immediately responded by opening sales on its 2009 Zero X dirt bike (look for our review of the 2008 model next week!). But these two companies aren’t the only ones exploring the possibilities of electric-powered motorcycles. In September, Japan’s largest industrial information journal Nikkei Business Daily reported that both Honda and Yamaha have set target dates for launching their own electric-powered motorcycles.
