BMW F-Series description

This is my wife's bike.  She obtained her motorcycle endorsement in late 2011, but the fact is that she is too anxious to ride actually to enjoy riding.  So she'd rather ride two up with me.  Thus we are selling her bike and my sport touring machine to wind up with a dedicated touring machine (Gold Wing most likely).  This is a fun to ride, spirited and very well balanced bike with an eager-to-rev Rotax twin engine.  The bike has always been kept on a Battery Tender, has always been garaged, has new fork seals and a new front tire.  The bike has a factory-lowered suspension set up for the inseam-challenged rider. If you are under 6 feet, the bike will fit you wonderfully.  If you are under 5'4" you might find yourself on your tip-toes at rest.  The center stand was removed to accommodate the lower profile of the suspension.  For running around town, tooling around backroads etc., this bike is hard to beat.  People equip these F-series bikes to do almost anything.  The bike has a V-Stream touring windshield, Touratech hand guard protectors, a Twisted Throttle brake fluid reservoir guard and clear plastic headlight lens protectors.  It has a very recent oil and oil filter change.  The bike has a 12v BMW style Powerlet connection port and a standard cigarette-lighter style power port on the console just below the handlebars on the tank.  All recall work has been done.  The OEM charcoal canister has been removed. The bike has Skene Design P-3 brake light LEDs, which are extremely bright and ensure the driver in back of you notices that you are applying your brakes or are turning.  It's a great little ride.  Six speed, ABS brakes, self cancelling turn signals, tire pressure sensors and other read out information.  I will include a paddock stand and a factory cover for the bike.

BMW Engineers Considered V10 for i8 Sports Car

Wed, 09 Oct 2013

So as we know, the BMW i8 sports car is promising to be a real step forward when it comes to fuel efficient sports cars. Powered by a 1.5-liter three-cylinder engine mated to an electric motor, it promises acceleration times once only occupied by the highest level of supercars. However, was a three-cylinder engine always on BMW’s agenda?

2013 BMW C600 Sport Recalled in Canada for Loose Fairings

Tue, 04 Dec 2012

BMW‘s maxi-scooters have only just started going on sale in North America and already there’s a recall for the 2013 BMW C600 Sport in Canada. According to Transport Canada, the fairing side panels on certain BMW C600 Sport scooters can loosen and detach while moving at very high speeds. In such a situation, the detached fairing poses a hazard to the rider and passenger as well as other vehicles and bystanders.

Transport Canada Recalls 2013 BMW R1200GS for Traction Control Bug

Thu, 21 Feb 2013

The 2013 BMW R1200GS hasn’t arrived in showrooms yet and it’s already been subjected to its second recall in Canada. Fortunately, this means the problems should be corrected before BMW‘s updated adventure-tourer gets delivered to customers. Earlier this month, Transport Canada announced a recall for the new R1200GS for a potential transmission oil leak.
