BMW F-Series description

Condition: Minor scratches as you will see in the photos but no broken parts and never crashed at speed. The bike was tipped over once in the garage but only scratched the crash bars a bit.

Features:
This model comes with ABS brakes, heated grips, a full computer system telling you outside temperature, miles per gallon, average speed and a bunch of other features that I really haven't used. The bike did come with a tire pressure monitoring system but I took it out in order to install "Ride-On" tire sealant which prevents flats and has done a fantastic job doing so over the last 60,000 miles. The motorcycle also comes with a BoosterPlug system which prevents stalling in hot weather that this specific bike is known for.

History: I am the second owner of this motorcycle and purchased with 14,000 miles on it from OTD Motorsports in Santa Ana, CA. Since that time, I have taken the bike for all warranty work and to a private mechanic for all upkeep. The bike comes "ready to ride" with a fresh oil change, valve adjustment, new spark plugs, new belt drive (over $500 alone), cush drives, newly replaced and oiled clutch cable and overall in fantastic operating condition. I did replace the light system with an HID light kit but the computer still reads as if a light bulb is out or missing. I could take it to a BMW mechanic to have the error code taken off but just haven't had the time. This motorcycle has taken me on many great trips and never once let me down.

Shipping and payment:
I am open to fly and ride or shipping scenarios as long as the owner takes the responsibility of coordinating logistics and payments.

The problem was first discovered April 1 after a warranty claim was filed in France.

Limited Edition 2012 BMW R1200GS ABS Tom Luthi Announced for Switzerland

Tue, 14 Feb 2012

It’s not unusual for motorcycle manufacturers to produce special edition models to honor a racer. It is unusual when that racer doesn’t compete on one that manufacturer’s machines though. Nevertheless, Interwetten Racing‘s Thomas Luthi, who rides a Honda-powered Suter machine in the Moto2 World Championship is a BMW brand ambassador, and thus, the German manufacturer has produced a limited edition R1200GS in his name.

2014 BMW HP2 Roadster Spotted

Mon, 22 Jul 2013

Spy photographers have snapped a picture of a new retro-styled BMW roadster. Dubbed the BMW HP2 Roadster by Italian site Insella.it which published the grainy photograph, the new boxer-engined streetbike is expected to be officially unveiled at November’s EICMA show in Milan. The spy photo reveals the HP2 Roadster uses BMW’s air-cooled R-series boxer engine and not the new water-cooled engine introduced on the 2013 R1200GS.
