BMW F-Series description
It’s had all it’s scheduled maintenance called for in the manual (based
on mileage milestones). I have most of the paperwork for oil changes
etc, though I did an oil change and a little bit of work on my own a
while back. (replaced a seal that required taking the left side engine
cover off).
All maintenance has been done at Morton's BMW in Fredericksburg, VA. There has been some general upkeep maintenance as well, but all of that has been documented and can be relayed in conversation if there is interest. The bike has run like a top since I bought it. I had the 18k mileage service done on it when I got home from deployment. That included pretty much all fluids (oil, brakes etc). It’s got brand new tubes and tires. The chain is not brand new, but was put on recently, kept cleaned and lubricated and has plenty of miles to go. Realistically, other than the worn out seat, the bike is in very good condition and ready to ride for a while. Comes with a spare set of knobbies and plenty of riding gear. |

The (Italian) girls of EICMA: Part 2
Wed, 09 Nov 2011It's not often a scooter catches your eye like the BMW C600 but that's because it's not often that Marco Melandri's girlfriend is standing next to it. EICMA can only mean one thing: new motorcycles. Oh and a handful of girls draped over them..
MV Agusta Chairman Hubert Trunkenpolz Interview – Part One
Wed, 26 Jun 2024Back in the Black Photos by Fabio Polimeni In November 2022 Italian trophy brand MV Agusta, wholly owned since 2019 by Russian entrepreneur Timur Sardarov and his family, and Pierer Mobility AG – KTM’s parent company – reached an agreement on ‘future strategic cooperation’, as a result of which the Austrian firm headed by Stefan Pierer would acquire a 25.10% stake in MV Agusta via its KTM AG subsidiary. At the first meeting of the newly constituted MV Agusta board on November 15, a capital increase of €30 million was agreed, denoting the sum KTM had paid to acquire its new minority shareholding in the company. As part of this strategic alliance KTM took charge of purchasing all components needed to manufacture MV Agusta’s entire range of models, as well as responsibility for marketing, distribution and after-sales service for MV Agusta on a global basis outside Italy.
BMW Begins Motorcycle Production in Thailand
Thu, 28 Nov 2013BMW has opened a new motorcycle assembly line at the company’s factory in Thailand. The facility will initially only produce F800R roadsters from complete knock-down kits for the Thai market, though BMW plans to eventually make the facility a production hub for other Asian markets. The Thai facility is BMW’s first wholly-owned motorcycle assembly plant outside of Germany, though the company does share facilities in Manaus, Brazil with local manufacturer DAFRA Motos.
