BMW F-Series description

The BMW F650GS has only 10,005 miles and is fully serviced. The bike runs well and comes with two sets of hardly used tires:

  1.  Continental TKC 80's with less than 100 miles - installed by Max BMW on July 31, 2016.
  2.  Metzeler Tourange tires installed by Max BMW a few years ago and only have approximately 300 miles on them since purchase.
A new chain was installed by Max BMW on 7/31/16 and the battery is only two years old. It runs very well.

Features & Accessories
  • Heated hand grips
  • ABS
  • Rear rack plate for Gevi style bag
  • Energized tank bag clip - the tank bag has 12v power inside for accessories once the bag is attached to the bike.
  • Tank bag with 12v connector
  • 12v power at seat for heated vest/boots/etc.
  • BMW saddle bags
  • Hand guards
  • Wiring in place under front fender for auxiliary lights
This is a used bike so there are a few items to mention, all can be seen in the photographs.
  1. There was a small crack caused by the saddle bag - this was stitch repaired
  2. The seat was repaired as it had a few cracks
  3. There is discoloration/oxidation on the spoke connectors on the front tires - the spokes and the connectors are rock solid.
  4. Normal wear and tear
I've done my best to capture all aspects of the bike for your review but please look at the pictures carefully before bidding as the bike is being sold as-is.

Feel free to email any questions.

BMW 1000RR and the Honda C70, are they indestructible?

Wed, 20 Apr 2011

I’ve managed 1374 miles on the Michelin Power Pures (mostly on track) and although we’ve had some decent temperatures they still look like new so there’s plenty meat left for another month at least. I’ve been running them at 30psi front and 32psi rear and find they warm up after a few miles but I wouldn’t say the temperature comes any quicker than any of the competition so it has to be four miles before I get brave. I’ve had a few out the seat moments with my BMW but I have got the rear suspension  set pretty hard (8 rebound,8 compression, two turns on pre load) and in slick mode, so 190bhp in first gear at the Knockhill hairpin is always going to be dodgy.

Charge Up you iPhone While You Ride

Fri, 12 Feb 2010

Motorcyclists can now enjoy total freedom on the open road confident in the knowledge that their cell phones, GPS, MP3 players and latest generation of iPhone/iTouch devices will remain fully-charged and in-service for the duration of the ride thanks to Powerlet’s plug and play systems. “Our product line was inspired by personal experience and the realization that there were no worthwhile options for clean, reliable on-board power for cell phones, stereos and GPS devices,” says Powerlet Products founder Adam Bonislawaski. “Before we came on to the scene, riders would bust out the black tape and wire strippers and cut into their bike’s fragile wiring to tie-in a cheap cigar lighter to power their devices.

BMW is Working On An Electric Boxer Motorcycle

Tue, 14 Jun 2022

BMW's electric future may have a nod to its past BMW released its second electric scooter earlier this year in the CE 04, and has made clear it plans to produce more electric two-wheelers in the near future. Oliver Zipse, chairman of the board of management for BMW AG, recently went as far as to say BMW Motorrad will introduce a new electric two-wheeler every 18 to 24 months, with the next model coming in 2023. While the initial models will be scooters or “urban mobility vehicles,” BMW is expected to eventually add electric motorcycles to its lineup.
