BMW F-Series description

The motorcycle was purchased from a friend in RI three years ago and was hardly ridden as it's one of three BMW motorcycles in the family. It is in great condition with only 9,945 miles and is fully serviced. The tires are new with approximately 300 miles since they were installed two years ago at Max BMW in CT. The Battery is two years old, she starts right up and runs well! Features & Accessories - Heated Grips - ABS - New (<300 miles) Metzeler Tourange tires. - Center Stand - Hand Guards - Rear Rack Plate for Gevi Style Bag - Electronic Display Console with Time, Volts and Temperature, Timer, etc. A few notables for its age: Seat had a slight tear that was repaired (see pics) The spoke nuts have discoloration/oxidation but are solid Feel free to email any questions. 2014 BMW F800GS Adventure Announced

BMW has announced a new Adventure version of the F800GS, providing a more off-road-oriented version of the middleweight dual-sport. BMW has offered an Adventure version of the R1200GS for a while now but this is the first time BMW has done the same for one of its smaller GS models. Like the base F800GS, the Adventure version is powered by a liquid-cooled 798cc four-valve parallel-twin engine.

It’s not unusual for motorcycle manufacturers to produce special edition models to honor a racer. It is unusual when that racer doesn’t compete on one that manufacturer’s machines though. Nevertheless, Interwetten Racing‘s Thomas Luthi, who rides a Honda-powered Suter machine in the Moto2 World Championship is a BMW brand ambassador, and thus, the German manufacturer has produced a limited edition R1200GS in his name.
