BMW R-Series description

BMW R90/6 custom cafe racer bobber.

Newly built from the bare frame 1975 model. 900cc with 5-speed gearbox.

One of a kind custom bike completed 210 miles ago, fresh and ready for cross country run or around town or if you like mountain roads, ready for that too. Bike has a very low 14500 from new.
Very light and nimble bike with power to spare, cruise at an easy 80-90 mph or flick it around corners like a sport bike. Or use it as a display as it is an old new bike with everything gone through.

Starting with the bare frame all the components were individually rebuilt, restored or replaced.
The engine even though it has a very low 14500 total miles was opened to check for wear and tear, having all the seals and gaskets replaced, new piston rings installed and a high performance valve job done, so no oil leaks and runs like new.

Gearbox had new seals installed together with new driveshaft boot and shifts all 5 gears as it should.

Pristine gas tank has had a new titanium silver metallic paint job with top quality Glasurit paint, super smooth and undamaged. It has installed new BMW steel-based enamel emblems, not the cheaper decal type emblems.

A custom leather seat was built on a specially made steel frame that operates on a coil spring/shock setup, very comfortable, better than stock.

The rear shocks are special air ride Fox shocks of top quality that provide a better ride than stock.

Custom made stainless steel front and rear fenders and custom brackets.

Wheels are 19" front AND rear fitted with Coker brand vintage tread pattern 4.0-19 tires. New stainless steel spokes on both wheels.

Beautiful stock exhaust system keeps the noise at a very comfortable level, maintaining the great original sound and looks great, with very nice chrome and no dents, solid.

Fitted is a digital speedometer that shows oil pressure warning and turn signal and neutral warning.

Custom taillight and license plate bracket. Headlight is stock Bosch H4 halogen.
Custom turn signals.

Bike looks and runs perfectly and is super reliable as BMWs are.

If you are looking for a one of a kind, reliable, cool bike then this bike is it.

2023 BMW S1000RR Review - First Ride

Thu, 29 Dec 2022

Bavarian Bullet Credit: Photos by BMW Motorrad/Markus Jahn and Jörg Künstle It scarcely seems possible that BMW Motorrad’s lineup-leading S1000RR sportbike actually made its official public debut a whole decade and a half ago in April 2008, with deliveries beginning the following year. Even though 15 years is a long time, especially in the Superbike arena, where serious players like BeeEm, as well as Ducati, Aprilia, and the Japanese, don’t stint on investing in fast-moving high-end technical R&D in pursuit of engineering excellence, the German brand’s first-ever customer motorcycle with a transverse-mounted four-cylinder has maintained its leading edge reputation for both mechanical and electronic innovation ever since then, and the newly introduced latest version is no exception. This is because, for the coming 2023 model year, BMW has essentially uprated its existing volume production version of the bike by transplanting a good chunk of the array of technical upgrades available until now only to around 1,200 well-heeled or well-sponsored users of the M1000RR, the uber-expensive, uber-performing version of BMW’s street-legal superbike that’s been on sale for the past two years, essentially as a homologation special for Superbike racing.

BMW Motorrad has shown what can be built around the in-line "two" from the middle "goose" F850GS

Tue, 26 Jun 2018

The 9Cento is a sports tourer with crossover features, and its appearance evokes associations of Italian design. So, for example, the short sportbike “tail” unobtrusively resembles the upturned, stunningly beautiful stern of Ducati Panigale sportbikes. The motorcycle is built on the basis of an in-line two-cylinder engine from the BMW F850GS, and we would not completely rule out the possibility of such a handsome man appearing in the production program.
