I AM RELUCTANTLY OFFERING MY VERY ORIGINAL 1956 R50 BMW. I BOUGHT IT FROM THE ORIGINAL OWNER MANY YEARS AGO AND HAVE KEEP IT JUST ABOUT THE WAY I GOT IT. THE BIKE WAS BUILT IN 1956 AND IS REGISTERED AS A 1957. I DID INSTALL THE LARGE TANK, HEADLIGHT MIRRORS, NEW STEERING BEARINGS AND SIGNAL LIGHTS. PAINT, SEAT, SINGLE CROSS SPOKE RIMS ARE STOCK. MILEAGE IS CORRECT. NUMBERS MATCH, BUT THERE WAS NO HEAD TAG WHEN I GOT THE BIKE AND ONE WAS ADDED. HAS ORIGINAL KEYS, MANUAL, PUMP AND TOOL KIT.THE SEAT IS RIPPED AND THE BATTERY IS OLDER. THERE ARE NEW HEIDINEAU TIRES. THE BIKE RUNS AND DRIVES GOOD, BUT HAS BEEN SITTING FOR SOME MONTHS. I HAVE A TRANFERABLE REGISTRATION AND BILL OF SALE FOR THE NEXT OWNER. BMW Bounces Back with Record August Sales
Thu, 06 Sep 2012When BMW released its second quarter report last month, the company reported a 4.2% decrease in BMW and Husqvarna motorcycle sales due mainly to a struggling European economy. The economic woes persist but BMW appears to be recovering, reporting a new sales record for the month of August. BMW reports sales of 7,400 motorcycles and scooters in August 2012, a company record for the month and an 11.3% increase from the 6,646 units sold in August 2011 and 14.7% more than the 6,405 units sold in August 2010.

Mon, 27 Aug 2012The historic race first-ever World Superbike Championship round in Russia provided plenty of drama with several top riders crashing out of both races and a new leader emerge in the chase for the 2012 WSBK Championship. Superpole qualifying made for four different manufacturers lining up in the first row of the grid, with Carlos Checa taking pole position for Althea Ducati ahead of Kawasaki‘s Tom Sykes, Aprilia‘s Eugene Laverty and BMW rider Leon Haslam. A slightly damp and unfamiliar track likely contributed to a number of crashes and collisions.
