Classic 1976 BMW R90S with 41,xxx miles.  I'm the second owner and have had the bike since 1991.  Very good condition and professionally maintained, this beauty is ready to ride.  It has factory heated grips, Corbin seat, Brown side stand, 2013 battery.  In 2014 it got new steering bearings, front end gone through, and new rear shocks.  This is a NO RESERVE auction but I reserve the right to end it early if a satisfactory offer is received before the end of the auction.

The good: I've got a beautiful and rare 1959 R26 BMW up for sale that is an all triple matching serial number (363195) bike. It just had a ton of work done including a fresh top end motor rebuild and the transmission was also rebuild ($3,500 worth of work completed by Scottie's Workshop in Santa Clara, Ca.) A bunch of upgrades too like new handle bars, single side mirror, new exhaust pipe, Pagusa saddle style seat (comes with original twin seat as well!), some original tools included, upgraded timing chain guide (making the bike run quieter), points/plug, new main seal, new piston rings, emptied slingers, fresh fluids, cool black and yellow plate that reads "1959 BMW", lots of receipts, original owner's manual, everything works, runs great and have a clear title in hand. It's got that cool cafe racer look without even trying!

Up for auction is my 1976 R90S.  I’m the second owner and have owned it since 1990.  It was originally Daytona Orange, but was repainted Silver Smoke in 1993 at 30,000 miles. The engine and frame serial numbers match.  There are a few minor scratches in the paint and the left muffler has a dent. This year, the bike got new battery, rear shocks, steering head bearings, and front fork seals.

Tue, 06 Aug 2024

The classic form versus function debate A couple of weeks ago, Ducati pulled the covers off its seventh-generation superbike, the 2025 Panigale V4 and V4 S. The new Panigale introduced a number of changes to the engine, chassis and electronics, aimed at pushing the performance envelope even further. There was one particular change that we knew was going to be polarizing: the change from a single-sided swingarm to a double-sided swingarm.

2024 BMW F 900 GS Review – First Ride

Fri, 12 Jul 2024

The middleweight GS gets a significant performance boost Despite having been around the longest, BMW’s middleweight machines haven’t been leading the pack since the current adventure craze took off. As of late, the F 800/850 haven’t been top of the performance heap on-road or off. BMW aims to change that with its all-new F 900 GS.

The 390 Adventure Project – Upgrades and Adjustments

Wed, 10 Jul 2024

Following in the wake of the Biltwell 100 race, my confidence in the 390 Adventure and my ability to pilot it for long stretches off-road soared. The ability to combine the technical skills I learned in the ATX Moto Adventures and Sedlak Off Road classes, along with some good old-fashioned seat time, really paid off. In addition, there were two changes I made to the bike that firmly cemented my trust in piloting it through the sketchy sandy trails – a custom lowered seat from Seat Concepts, and some aggressive knobby tires.

MV Agusta Chairman Hubert Trunkenpolz Interview – Part One

Wed, 26 Jun 2024

Back in the Black Photos by Fabio Polimeni In November 2022 Italian trophy brand MV Agusta, wholly owned since 2019 by Russian entrepreneur Timur Sardarov and his family, and Pierer Mobility AG – KTM’s parent company – reached an agreement on ‘future strategic cooperation’, as a result of which the Austrian firm headed by Stefan Pierer would acquire a 25.10% stake in MV Agusta via its KTM AG subsidiary. At the first meeting of the newly constituted MV Agusta board on November 15, a capital increase of €30 million was agreed, denoting the sum KTM had paid to acquire its new minority shareholding in the company. As part of this strategic alliance KTM took charge of purchasing all components needed to manufacture MV Agusta’s entire range of models, as well as responsibility for marketing, distribution and after-sales service for MV Agusta on a global basis outside Italy.
