OFFERED, THE CLASSIC TOASTER TANK BMW. THIS BIKE SHOWS HIGH MILAGE BUT HAS HAD ENGINE WORK DONE 15 YEARS AGO AS TOLD TO ME THE THE OWNER. MOST NOTABLY WAS THE VALVE SEAT RETROFIT ALONG WITH OTHER TOP END WORK.. THIS MOTORCYCLE LOOKS GREAT & RUNS THE SAME.. THE COLOR IS A PETROL BLUE REMINISENT OF THE FIRST 100RS BIKES.. CHROME PANELS & SIDE COVERS ARE VERY NICE.. THE PIN STRIPES ARE BURIED BENEATH THE CLEAR COAT....... THIS BIKE WAS STORED FOR THE LAST 15 YEARS EFFECTIVELY BUT WAS STARTED AND USED WHEN THE OWNERS VACATIONED FROM GERMANY.. ////// IT IS MISSING THE KICK START LEVER FOR SOME REASON. // THE TURNSIGNALS MAY OR MAYNOT BE CORRECT... THE TANK HAD BEEN TREATED IN THE PAST( UGH!!), AND IS FAILING.. THIS IS NOT AFFECTING THE FUEL FLOW AND MAY OR MAY NOT NEED TO BE ADDRESSED IN THE FUTURE... THE TIRES WHILE SPORTING GREAT TREAD HAVE SOME MINOR CHECKING STARTING ON THE SIDEWALLS,,, I DID A 100 MILE TRIP WITHOUT INCIDENT. <<<<<< NOTHING FANCY , JUST A STRAIGHT FORWARD SLASH 5 FROM BACK IN THE DAY... The ability to combine the technical skills I learned in the ATX Moto Adventures and Sedlak Off Road classes, along with some good old-fashioned seat time, really paid off. In addition, there were two changes I made to the bike that firmly cemented my trust in piloting it through the sketchy sandy trails – a custom lowered seat from Seat Concepts, and some aggressive knobby tires.

Wed, 26 Jun 2024Back in the Black Photos by Fabio Polimeni In November 2022 Italian trophy brand MV Agusta, wholly owned since 2019 by Russian entrepreneur Timur Sardarov and his family, and Pierer Mobility AG – KTM’s parent company – reached an agreement on ‘future strategic cooperation’, as a result of which the Austrian firm headed by Stefan Pierer would acquire a 25.10% stake in MV Agusta via its KTM AG subsidiary. At the first meeting of the newly constituted MV Agusta board on November 15, a capital increase of €30 million was agreed, denoting the sum KTM had paid to acquire its new minority shareholding in the company. As part of this strategic alliance KTM took charge of purchasing all components needed to manufacture MV Agusta’s entire range of models, as well as responsibility for marketing, distribution and after-sales service for MV Agusta on a global basis outside Italy.
