2010 BMW S1000RR currently set up for track days or club racing. Suspension is stock but has been revalved and set up for a 170 lb rider. Bike is very stable and handles well at speed, no issues at all. Motor is stock , only mods to bike are Bazzaz engine management system with tune, Sato rearsets and Arrow full system. I have most stock parts including signals and pssgr foot pegs so converting it back to street trim shouldn't be too difficult.. Bike is currently registered in CA as a non op track bike. Cosmetically it has been on the track has some scuffs and dings , body work is not perfect, but it is priced accordingly. I know very little about the bikes history. I bought it with 10000 miles on it from an AFM racer who used it as I have , as a street and occas track day bike. He claims to have never raced the bike or laid it down, but I cant guarantee this. I have never crashed on this bike and put another nearly 9k trouble free miles on it. I just did the very expensive 18000 mile service. The bike has no warranty expressed or implied, however if you find that I have misrepresented it in any way you can return it to me within 1 wk of purchase. If you are local, contact me for a test ride. Bike is super fast , more than I can handle for sure . Dunlop slicks have about 10 laps on them. VIN: WB1048000AZX65142 If you’re reading this ad, you probably already know that this is the granddaddy of adventure bikes and this one is truly set up to go the long-way around. Ready yourself for the journey and in the meantime, enjoy the fall; it’s the best time to ride. This bike is fitted with two BMW panniers, the endure transmission and the premium package. The only items that I know of that are not on the cycle are electronic traction control and tire-gauge monitors. The Electronic Suspension (ESA) is incredible, as are the heated grips, especially in the spring and fall. To top it off, this bike has the 110hp BMW engine; two camshafts and four radially aligned valves per cylinder. I’ve owed two other boxers and there is no comparison in performance. The bike has been serviced by a tech in our local BMW club, a BMW junkie and one of the best techs that I know. He is employed at our local Harley Davison dealership where he does all of their metric bike work, so I just take my bike there. I have all of the records and all components are BMW. This bike has been serviced more than suggested by BMW. With just over 19,000 miles on it, it’s had seven oil changes, four final drive and transmission changes, brake fluid change, air filter, new spark plugs and on and on. The last full service was performed on 9/11/2013 at 17,927 miles and this included a new set of Metzler Torrence tires. Bike has always been garaged and kept in great condition. Now for the “farkles” that I’ve added; over three grand worth excluding the installation cost on many of them. I bought it in 2011 to ride with my best pal on little trips to fly fish and drift aroung- he was a great guy rode a 750 Guzzi to Costa Rica in 1974 till it brokeWell he is gone and I am in failing health my self- cant ride it any moreIt was bought from SE Detroit BMW John knows the bike and has all the records. Last year I spent about 2 weeks in the Finger Lakes and it got brand new tires that have 50 miles on then not even broken it- I alos added the flashing rear light and some very bright running lights- has the headed grips and comes with the two BMW Side Bags in Alum and a top bag The only issue I had with the bike is it wouldnt start- come to find out it was the failed design on the fuel pump- they replaced it under warranty and if you keep the pump covered with gas you are good to go It also has the very rare and rock solid Camel Toe side stand pad.2016-07-18 04:56:51Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, United States922000 -

Mon, 22 Jul 2013Marco Melandri captured his third win of the season, the Ducati 1199 Panigale scored its first podium while Sylvain Guintoli regained the championship lead despite dislocating his collarbone days before the race. But the big news at Moscow Raceway of course was the tragic death of Andrea Antonelli in the World Supersport race. The opening-lap crash in severely wet conditions naturally led to the cancellation of the rest of the events as the World Superbike community mourns the loss of the 25-year-old Antonelli.

Dubbed the BMW HP2 Roadster by Italian site Insella.it which published the grainy photograph, the new boxer-engined streetbike is expected to be officially unveiled at November’s EICMA show in Milan. The spy photo reveals the HP2 Roadster uses BMW’s air-cooled R-series boxer engine and not the new water-cooled engine introduced on the 2013 R1200GS.
Dainese to Develop Airbag-Equipped Riding Gear for BMW; Technology Coming to BMW Motorcycles in 2015
Wed, 17 Jul 2013BMW announced a new joint project with Dainese that would develop a new line of rider equipment using the Italian company’s integrated airbag technology. The two companies will also be working on integrating the technology to BMW’s motorcycles. The new line will make use of Dainese’s D-Air technology developed by MotoGP racers such as Jorge Lorenzo and Valentino Rossi.

The 2014 models were first revealed last weekend’s BMW Motorrad Days celebration but we now have full details on the updates. The new 2014 BMW K1600GT Sport is based on the existing K1600GT but adds a special Sakhir Orange/Black Storm Metallic paint job, black gloss-coated wheels, a shorter windscreen and a sportier seat design.

2011-2013 BMW F800GS and F700GS Recalled in Canada
Wed, 19 Jun 2013Transport Canada announced a recall for the 2011-2013 BMW F800GS and the 2013 F700GS because of a problem with the kickstand ignition cut-off switch. The switch is designed to turn off the engine when the stand is down and the motorcycle is shifted into gear; this prevents the motorcycle from being ridden with the kickstand deployed. On certain BMW F800GS and F700GS models however, the cut-off switch can loosen and become damaged.
