I have owned the bike since 1985, but let the tags expire in 1987 while I was at college. I was concerned about using unleaded gas in it, and I got tired of fixing the floats, and it needed a new muffler cross-over pipe (which I still have, but never installed) to pass inspection. I did not need it for transportation, so it got left alone and ended up stored in a barn for a few years, until I moved to a place where I could store it where I lived. My intention was to harden the engine for the unleaded gas, but I could never afford to have it done. The last time I had it running was around 94 or so. Since then, it was kept in a shed until 97, then garages. Kind of became part of the garages at both of the houses that I lived. Mostly out of sight and out of mind, unless it was in the way. I have thought of trying to restore it, but my kids are not really interested in it, and so many years have passed, that it is just time to sell. It has 26,061 miles on it. I still have the Virginia state title. I took off the faring a few years ago and stored it in the attic of the garage to get it out of the way. For the one picture I put it mostly on, just to show it, but did not tightened it down. The engine does have compression, but it has not had gas in it for quite some time and the tank is rusted inside. There is some rust on the handle bars as seen in the pictures, and the mufflers are not original, but they were incredibly loud (even before the leak). The spark plug cable holders (piece that goes over the plug) have broken on both sides where the spark plug wire is clamped onto the holder (can see in the picture somewhat).

The main talking point for the Tuono 660 Factory is an upgrade to Öhlins suspension, with the NIX30 fork and STX 46 shock replacing the pieces on the standard model. The Tuono 660, as you likely know by now, is the naked variant of the RS660, and as such, shares much of the same framework as its fully-faired sibling.

Ducati changes course and creates a more streetable sportbike With the announcement today at EICMA 2024 of the Panigale V2 and V2 S, Ducati have turned a page within its middleweight sportbike book, taking small steps away from outright sportiness and veering towards a little bit of streetability. Taking advantage of the new V2 engine it recently introduced, Ducati claims this latest edition of the Panigale V2 is not only comfortable and streetable – while still being track worthy – but is also the lightest Panigale the company has ever made, at 395 lbs without fuel (388 lbs for the S, 37 lbs lighter than before). Ducati’s sportbike history has been rooted in racing.

More tech for the Ténéré For 2025, Yamaha has brought technology first seen on the MT-07 to its CP2 Twin-sharing sibling, the Ténéré 700. In addition to Yamaha’s Chip Controlled Throttle (see: ride-by-wire), the T7 also gets updated styling, suspension, and ergonomics – all of which sound promising, but is more tech what Ténéré customers are looking for? Yamaha’s switch to a ride-by-wire throttle has opened up options for throttle maps and traction control settings, but cruise control is still suspiciously absent.

MV celebrates 80 years with retro themes and limited production runs for 2025 In 2025, MV Agusta will celebrate the 80th anniversary of its very first model, the MV 98cc, with a special Ottantesimo Collection spanning six of its motorcycles – the Brutale RR, Dragster RR, F3 RR, Superveloce S, Brutale 1000, and Brutale 1000 RR. Each of these bikes will have retro-inspired liveries, as well as MV’s original logo stamped on its sides. In a further nod to the company’s past, each bike will have the “Emmevi” spelling somewhere on it.
