2010 BMW R1200GSA – LOADED!! VIN: WB1048000AZX65142 If you’re reading this ad, you probably already know that this is the granddaddy of adventure bikes and this one is truly set up to go the long-way around. Ready yourself for the journey and in the meantime, enjoy the fall; it’s the best time to ride. This bike is fitted with two BMW panniers, the endure transmission and the premium package. The only items that I know of that are not on the cycle are electronic traction control and tire-gauge monitors. The Electronic Suspension (ESA) is incredible, as are the heated grips, especially in the spring and fall. To top it off, this bike has the 110hp BMW engine; two camshafts and four radially aligned valves per cylinder. I’ve owed two other boxers and there is no comparison in performance. The bike has been serviced by a tech in our local BMW club, a BMW junkie and one of the best techs that I know. He is employed at our local Harley Davison dealership where he does all of their metric bike work, so I just take my bike there. I have all of the records and all components are BMW. This bike has been serviced more than suggested by BMW. With just over 19,000 miles on it, it’s had seven oil changes, four final drive and transmission changes, brake fluid change, air filter, new spark plugs and on and on. The last full service was performed on 9/11/2013 at 17,927 miles and this included a new set of Metzler Torrence tires. Bike has always been garaged and kept in great condition. Now for the “farkles” that I’ve added; over three grand worth excluding the installation cost on many of them. 1967 BMW R60 - RECENTLY RESTORED AND MATCHING NUMBERS (1967)
I am offering up a beautiful 1967 BMW R60 that I had restored by Sonoma Classic Restorations. They do quality work and it was a long time coming. The options I requested for the bike are as follows; luggage rack, Corbin seat (I just like the look of the Corbin, it sits better in the bike and wanted something different than all the others with the Denfield seats), Bumm mirrors, tire pump, wide tires, headlight guards, Hoske tank and risers, and handle bar signals. I loved the Dover White so that was chosen as the color as you can see from the pictures. There is a small crack in the taillight paint as you can see in the pictures and a place on the fender where the paint twisted due to the bolt tightening. As far as the motor, it was completely rebuilt and you can see from his website as far as what he does to go through them. BMW R1100GS Loaded for Adventure Travel (1999)
Motorcycle has 107,000 miles, fully equipped for Dual Sport Touring and in excellent mechanical condition. Burns no oil, has always had Mobil 1 since break in, all maintenance when required and current with spline lube last winter. Maintenance records come with photos of the periodic maintenance. Lots of power, doesn't need any work but could use tune up like sync carbs. In Alaska I road with another BMW GS that had 180,000 miles and no sign of wearing out. Excellent road touring bike and for long distances on dirt roads. High load capacity with lots of torque for long distances in comfort. 1976 R90/6 R90 1045cc big bore from San Jose BMW Toaster Cafe builder I ship! (1976)
I am really in love with BMW airheads right now and have a couple projects going. The plan was to make this into a cafe or use the engine for another project and part out the rest. The previous owner put on a big bore kit that really gives this bike some grunt! The Mikunis could use some top end tuning but are much simpler to work over the Bings I'm used to. The body has been rattle canned and looks ok from a distance but very obvious when you get closer. For me, I'd respray if I was to keep it. There are a couple issues that are noteworthy. The bike does drip a bit of oil after being ridden. I don't know exactly where from but plan on some new gaskets if you want to fix this. The previous owner rode it like this and wasn't concerned, just kept her topped off. I'm very picky and would re seal if it was me. also, the bolt that attaches the valve cover in the center is loose. It's not needed to hold the valve cover on, but should be taken care of. Again, previous owner didn't mind, I'd prefer to fix it. I do have the speedo/tach combo if you would like to have it with the bike. The wiring is all there, just not on the bike currently. It shows 18.5K miles. The head and tail lights along with signals are working although no front signals installed. I've priced it based on the current condition and well under parts value. I'm sure the smartest thing I could do is part out the bike but It's too nice to do that. I love this style of bike, tank and especially the peanut style heads. Wed, 26 Jun 2024Back in the Black Photos by Fabio Polimeni In November 2022 Italian trophy brand MV Agusta, wholly owned since 2019 by Russian entrepreneur Timur Sardarov and his family, and Pierer Mobility AG KTMs parent company reached an agreement on future strategic cooperation, as a result of which the Austrian firm headed by Stefan Pierer would acquire a 25.10% stake in MV Agusta via its KTM AG subsidiary. At the first meeting of the newly constituted MV Agusta board on November 15, a capital increase of 30 million was agreed, denoting the sum KTM had paid to acquire its new minority shareholding in the company. As part of this strategic alliance KTM took charge of purchasing all components needed to manufacture MV Agustas entire range of models, as well as responsibility for marketing, distribution and after-sales service for MV Agusta on a global basis outside Italy.
