    Classic 1993 BMW Airhead   The culmination of all things good in a BMW Airhead.   The biggest bore engine 979.9 cc.  The highly desirable dual disk 2-piston Brembo fixed calipers with floating stainless steel disk brakes.  The monoshock Paralever rear suspension and the extremely rigid BMW cross spoke wheels, 18" front, 17" rear (which allow you to run tubeless tires on spoked wheels).  The front suspension has a highly responsive telescopic fork with separate hydraulic compression and rebound-damping action with progressive spring rate and integral fork stabilizer.  Includes 2 inclined 32 mm Bing constant-pressure carburetors and a large bore 2 into 1 exhaust.  New battery this spring.  Factory saddlebags are included with my travelogue of stickers. Olive is a 2014 BMW R 1200 GSAW I bought her from the original owner in Anchorage he bought it from the Motorcycle shop there ! after he put 6400 miles on it he told me that he bought it so he and his wife could do some Alaskan off road riding well he is 6'7 and he said she is pretty big too so she wasn't very comfortable as a rider so he decided to sell it !

     I'm listing this bike for my dad.  He's pretty old school.  Not very computer savvy.  This is my dad's 1992 R100r BMW.  My dad kept very meticulous service records of this bike.  It's in very good gorgeous condition.  My dad is 80 years old and still rides regularly however he has a hard time touching the ground on this bike anymore.  He pretty much just rides his xs650's and a Kawasaki 500 twin cruiser.  Those who know these bikes are familiar with the fact that they are quite rare and very collectible.  This particular bike is a fine example.

2014 BMW R1200GS Adventure Revealed

BMW has updated its R1200GS Adventure for 2014, giving it similar updates introduced on the R1200GS including the liquid-cooled 1170cc boxer engine. The more off-road capable version of the GS now has more power than ever before, as well as the option of coming with BMW’s semi-active suspension. Tom Sykes snapped up a pair of wins at Magny-Cours, setting himself up in good position to capture his first World Superbike Championship at the season finale in Jerez in two weeks. The Kawasaki rider scored his series-leading eight and ninth victories of the season, giving him a commanding 37-point cushion over Eugene Laverty and 38 points ahead of Sylvain Guintoli. Sykes needs only score at least 13 points in total over the final two races at Jerez to secure the championship.

Tom Sykes and Eugene Laverty each came away with a victory as the World Superbike Championship made its return to Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca. The first race featured two red flags, ironically caused by AMA Superbike regulars Danny Eslick and Roger Hayden, the two men with the most recent experience at the famed track. The second race was a much cleaner affair, with a dramatic finish, setting up the final two rounds of the championship.

2014 BMW NineT Spied – Lo Rider Concept Finally Coming to Life

Germany’s Motorrad Magazin has uncovered new photos of an upcoming BMW motorcycle rumored to be called the NineT. We caught a glimpse of the boxer-engined roadster testing earlier this summer but the new pictures – snapped at a gas station in northern Italy – reveal three motorcycles that appear close to being ready for production. The name NineT recognizes the 90th year anniversary, and the new model references that history in its retro styling.

Splitting his time between the company's studio in Baoding, China, and a Shanghai-based satellite studio, he reports directly to chairman Wei Jianjun. In his role he‘s responsible for the design of the brand globally and leads a team of 130 designers in Baoding as well as 25 in the Shanghai studio.

The German Association of the Automotive Industry (VDA) has announced the winner of its 2013 Design Awards, which asked students from across the world to submit their final graduating projects completed between October 2011 and July 2013. Eric Leong from Sweden's Umeå Institute of Design, came in first place with his 'Audi Elite' project, earning himself €4,000. Leong's single-person vehicle can be controlled using the entire body through gestures and movements, and adapts to the needs of the driver, giving them more control.

2014 BMW K1600GTL Exclusive Outed in CARB Documents

Earlier this summer, BMW announced its 2014 six-cylinder K1600GT including a new variant called the K1600GT Sport. A new document released by the California Air Resources Board reveals the more luxurious K1600GTL may be getting its own special variant as well. CARB released a new executive order for its 2014 K16 models including the K1600GTL Exclusive alongside the regular K1600GTL and the K1600GT.

TOURATECH now makes an expandable tank bag to match BMW’s R1200GS in red and silver. The touring accessory firm’s "Ambato Exp" tank bag has been on sale for a month but until now only in black or black and white. It features a model-specific base plate for quick-release attachment to the R1200GS, waterproof inserts and Cordura fabric described as “tear proof”.
