I am the second owner purchased through a 3rd party after first owner put the bike down. Nose panel, right side logo panel, mirror and side case were replaced. Also swapped out the following parts from a 2006 bike with 24000 miles to upgrade existing: rotors, final drive, ESA shock. Cases have some scratches as does the right valve cover. Locks do not match on cases but can be rekeyed. Cruise control switch does not work but cruise is on and works as should. Otherwise, bike has been very well maintained. I drove last year for 3000 miles with absolutely no problems. Added Sargent Seat and bar risers. Seats are heated but I have not hooked up as they did not come with factory plug. Only able to put a couple hundred miles on this year and daughter in college so need to sell. Great chance to get a very good bike at a reasonable price. Fri, 24 May 2013BMW revealed a new concept to mark the company’s 90th year in the motorcycle business while also paying tribute to a classic: the BMW R90S. (UPDATED with video.) The product of a collaboration between the BMW Motorrad Design studio and Roland Sands Designs, the BMW Concept Ninety will be displayed alongside other classic BMW motorcycles at the 2013 Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este, May 24-26 in Italy. The Concept Ninety carries many styling cues from the R90S, BMW’s classic superbike.

Mon, 13 May 2013Eugene Laverty and Marco Melandri split a pair of victories at Monza but the most biggest news from the World Superbike weekend was a strange series of appeals after Race Two that saw Tom Sykes finish third, relegated to fourth and then reinstated on the final step of the podium. The unusual mix-up occurred after Sykes, sitting in third place, ran off track and into the run off area on Turn 5 on his final lap. The Kawasaki rider returned to the track again in third place where he finished ahead of Aprilia‘s Sylvain Guintoli.
BMW Set Single Month Sales Record in April 2013 – New R1200GS Represents 27.7% of Sales Volume
Mon, 13 May 2013BMW announced it set a new company all-time sales record for a single month, delivering 14,587 motorcycles to customers in April 2013. That represents an 11.5% increase from the 13,088 motorcycles sold in April 2012. The record month helped push BMW‘s overall sales over the first four months to 39,319 motorcycles and scooters, a 5.0% increase from the 13,088 units sold in the same period of 2012.
John Surtees to Lead Classic Vehicle Parade Fundraiser
Fri, 03 May 2013Motorsports legend John Surtees will lead a parade of classic cars and motorcycles – including Surtees’ 1960 500cc Grand Prix Championship-winning MV Agusta – in his home town of Edenbridge, England. Surtees is the only person to have ever won world championships in both Grand Prix motorcycle racing and Formula One, and the parade will feature cars and bikes from his time as both a racer and a racing team owner. Surtees himself will drive the Team Surtees TS7, a F1 car constructed by his own team that debuted at the 1970 British Grand Prix at Brands Hatch.
BMW Reports Q1 2013 Results
Thu, 02 May 2013BMW reported worldwide sales of 24,732 motorcycles over the first three months of 2013, a slight increase from the 24,373 motorcycles sold in the same quarter in 2012. These figures include sales of 1,110 Husqvarna motorcycles before BMW sold the company to KTM boss Stefan Pierer. Sales revenue from BMW Motorrad however was down 2.7% to 436 million euros (US$569.2 million) over the quarter from 448 million euros last year.
2014 BMW F800GS Adventure Announced
Thu, 02 May 2013BMW has announced a new Adventure version of the F800GS, providing a more off-road-oriented version of the middleweight dual-sport. BMW has offered an Adventure version of the R1200GS for a while now but this is the first time BMW has done the same for one of its smaller GS models. Like the base F800GS, the Adventure version is powered by a liquid-cooled 798cc four-valve parallel-twin engine.

WSBK 2013: Assen Race Report
Mon, 29 Apr 2013Tom Sykes earned his first win of the 2013 season and came a hair short of a double victory at the World Superbike Championship round at Assen in the Netherlands. Traditionally a fast starter and qualifier, Sykes started on the pole once again at Assen and had strong starts in both races. But unlike the first two rounds where he started strong before fading, the Kawasaki factory rider was able to remain at the front in both races at Assen and earn some valuable championship points.
