BMW R-Series tech info
BMW R-Series description
I am selling my 2012 BMW GS 1200 Adventure - last of the oil cooled - in Triple Black. Too many other "toys" and not enough time to ride them all.
This bike is in "as new" condition, one owner, and completely stock. No amazing off-road stories, accidents, tip overs or anything of the sort. Dealer serviced at Hermy's, Port Clinton, where I purchased this bike from new. Last service = 12K major service carried out at 12263 miles earlier in 2016. Bike now has 12371 miles. New battery - Shorai Lithium technology - installed earlier in the year. It is truly as good as new with tyres which are in very fine condition and have plenty of miles left on them. I will help consider sales to anywhere in the continental US, but payment has to be made by bank transfer, cashier check, or some other very reliable source of payment. You will need to coordinate and pay for shipping. I have the (clear) title in hand. If you've been looking for one of these, this is as nice as they come. this bike has: Chrome Exhaust Pipe ESA (Electronic Suspension Adjustment), Heated Grips, On Board Computer, Auxiliary Lights, Saddle Bag Mounts, BMW Hard Aluminium panniers, ABS, BMW valve cover guards....etc. Both keys, service manual and toolkit. Happy to send more images if you need them. |

2009 BMW S1000RR Entering Production
Wed, 04 Feb 2009We’re finally able to share some pictures and info about the production version of BMW’s new literbike, the S1000RR. We now know that it has a claimed dry weight of 403 pounds, which should be competitive with its Japanese literbike rivals. The all-new inline-Four powerplant displaces 999cc, and its cylinder head is said to be very narrow and compact, with the valves actuated by “very small” cam followers that are nearly at Formula 1 levels in size.

Mmmmm, Toasted
Mon, 20 Oct 2008While some fortunate souls who live south of the Mason-Dixon line are able to ride their beloved beasts all year long, some are forced to put their hogs into hibernation by mother nature come winter time. Although most motorcyclists have little use for wintry weather, autumn is a truly beautiful time of year to ride. Granted, the days become shorter and the wind colder, but navigating your way through winding roads amid the vibrant colors of changing leaves is enough of a reward within itself.
