Great bike for sale! 2009 BMW 1200 GS with lots of extras. -BMW Adventure pannier mount and aluminum side panniers -Tubeless spoked wheel upgrade -H&B front and engine crash bars -PIAA aux lights -BMW Navigation III navigation system -BMW battery tender -BMW tank case -BMW trunk case -throttle lock -road pegs -brake pedal extender I have maintenance records and some new maintenance parts and tools. 36,000 mile maintenance recently performed at dealership. All fluids changed, valves adjusted and all warranty/recall work (including replacing fuel strip). Mileage 35,477 I'm only selling because I don't ride much anymore. Too many other warm weather hobbies. Always garage kept and adult ridden. Thanks for looking. |

Thu, 27 Jun 2024Adventure-ready variant priced at $19,995 Ducati announced a new DesertX variant that comes standard with a number of accessories to make it more adventure-ready. With an MSRP of $19,995, the 2025 Ducati DesertX Discovery offers a middle-ground between the $17,995 baseline DesertX and the more hardcore $22,995 DesertX Rally. The DesertX Discovery comes standard with reinforced handguards, engine guards, a radiator grill, water pump protection, and a beefier bash plate than the standard DesertX.
BMW Design Chief David Robb Steps Down; Edgar Heinrich Named Successor
Mon, 30 Jan 2012David Robb, the man responsible for BMW‘s split-face motorcycle design, has left the German manufacturer. A native of Boston, Mass., Robb joined BMW as its design chief in 1993, and over the ensuing 18 years expanded the company’s product line to include the top selling R1200GS, the six-cylinder K1600GT and GTL, and the S1000RR superbike (that’s him on the far right in the picture above). The 56-year-old’s latest design to enter production are the C600 Sport and C650GT maxi-scooters.
