BMW R-Series description

This is a exemplary example of a 2004 BMW R1150 GSA. It's been well maintained. All services are up to date. The bike has mostly been used on long highway outings. The tires are almost new. Bike comes with full metal BMW cases, sides and rear trunk, newer BMW gel battery, oil/filter changed recently, brakes flushed & caliper bushing refreshed, newer brakes, Garmin Street Pilot 2720 Navigation as well as BMW Navigation unit w/ a Ram mounting system for both. The bike runs excellent, starts and runs out perfectly, shifts smoothly, and looks very nice for a 2004. You will be hard pressed to find one of these in better condition! These bikes are renowned for their versatility and bullet proof characteristics. Many love the R1150 over the newer 1200 due to its simplistic mechanicals. In other words, you can work on it yourself! Feel free to ask any questions.

The Netherlands hosted a dramatic weekend of World Superbike racing that featured a red-flagged wet race, several riders crashing while leading, a first-time race winner, a photo finish between two teammates and the reigning World Champion finishing out of the points because of a poor choice of tires. The 2011 WSBK Champion Carlos Checa arrived at Assen with the lead in the championship and a three-race winning streak, but opting to run wet tires in Race Two cost him the lead and may have contributed to a crash that severely injured Liberty Racing‘s Brett McCormick.
