You are looking at a 2004 BMW R1150GS yellow in color with 25273 miles the bike is a 1 owner with abs, heated grips, bmw saddle bags the paint is very nice and shiney no nicks or scratches does not appear to ever been down. The only thing I see to pick is the front tire is a little warn to about 35% so it will have a new tire installed by the time the auction is over. ’50s BMW Scooter Prototype to Star at 2012 Concours di Motociclette
Wed, 23 May 2012BMW is entering the scooter market this year with its C600 Sport and C650 GT maxi-scooters, but the German manufacturer almost entered the scooter segment nearly 60 years earlier. In the 1950s, BMW produced a pair of scooter prototypes it called the R10. The first prototype produced in 1953 was equipped with a 175cc Single producing about 8hp while the 1954 prototype (pictured above) was equipped with a 200cc producing about 10hp.
Charley Boorman Tours Canada for New Series
Wed, 08 Jun 2011Actor and adventure rider Charley Boorman is getting ready for another journey, this one taking him across the Great White North on a tour of Canada. Best known for his Long Way Round and Long Way Down documentaries with his friend and riding partner Ewan McGregor, Boorman is touring Canada for a new series called Extreme Frontiers: Canada for the U.K.’s Channel 5. BMW Motorrad Canada will provide Boorman with his ride, likely from its GS line.
BMW is Working On An Electric Boxer Motorcycle
Tue, 14 Jun 2022BMW's electric future may have a nod to its past BMW released its second electric scooter earlier this year in the CE 04, and has made clear it plans to produce more electric two-wheelers in the near future. Oliver Zipse, chairman of the board of management for BMW AG, recently went as far as to say BMW Motorrad will introduce a new electric two-wheeler every 18 to 24 months, with the next model coming in 2023. While the initial models will be scooters or “urban mobility vehicles,” BMW is expected to eventually add electric motorcycles to its lineup.
