BMW R-Series description
*updated to full res photos 2 Aug. Bike is in excellent mechanical condition, but if you want it to look really sharp, it will need a paint job. Driver's seat has a rip on the righthand side, and if you want to do any long trips, you will probably want to get a new seat, or get this one refoamed and recovered. It's fine for around town though. Extras/Options ABS power brakes extended windshield (adjustable for height) handlebar pullbacks heated grips bar end weights/throttle lock BMW hard luggage After market exhaust (I have the original if you want it) BMW engine guards extra bright LED brake light Recent maintenance changed alternator belt adjusted valves changed brake fluid changed clutch fluide replaced fuel filter replaced both of the fuel line quick disconnects replaced rubber grips The only issues with this bike are cosmetic. Winter weather but summer carries on.
Tue, 14 Jun 2011Aye, it’s been a another good week in the world of Niall Mackenzie. My friends at Moto Direct sent me a new RST Pro Series suit to try out, I acquired some new rubber for my S10000RR and young Taylor Mac splashed home to 12th place on his Aprilia in the 125cc British Grand Prix. Being no fashion guru and pretty ancient now I’m satisfied the brightest suit I’ve ever climbed into looks the biz.
BMW Concept 6 [video]
Mon, 23 Nov 2009BMW introduced an inline six-cylinder café racer concept at the 2009 EICMA show in Milan, Italy. Inline-six engines have a staple in BMW’s automobiles for decades and the German manufacturer’s motorcycle division took on the challenge of adapting the straight-six to a bike without making it too long or too wide. The result is the BMW Motorrad Concept 6, and an evolution BMW says “will further expand the K-Series in the foreseeable future”.
