Letting go of an old friend 1995 BMW R/100-RT Classic. The last year of the airhead breed for BMW. I am the only owner of this Arctic Grey and Graphite touring bike. 17,900 original miles...matching BMW faring, lowers, crash bars, snap-off saddle bags and trip trunk, heated hand-grips, new tires and battery. Voltmeter, clock, hazard flashers, twin front disks, stock original tool roll and owners manual. Bike is in great running shape with only a couple tiny dings in paint on one side. This one was garaged all winter while the Lexus sat out in the weather. Call me before the snow comes. T I'll include a helmet, covers, rain suit (men's size large) riding gloves. BMW Concept Ninety Stars at Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este 2013
Mon, 27 May 2013The annual Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este usually features some of the world’s most beautiful classic cars, but this year’s show had a special exhibit celebrating the 90th anniversary of BMW Motorrad. More than 6,000 people visited the BMW Group-organized Concorso d’Eleganza on the shore of Italy’s Lake Como. The BMW Motorrad exhibit featured some of the company’s most notable motorcycles spanning 90 years of history including the original BMW R32 that started it all in 1923.

Recently rumours have been flying around that BMW are to produce a scooter, possibly a hybrid. And while we know it's well within their means, we'd rather they concentrated on the sharpening the cutting edge of road bikes.
BMW Reports Q3 2012 Results
Tue, 06 Nov 2012BMW reported a new company record for third quarter motorcycle sales, selling 26,755 BMW motorcycles in the quarter ended Sept. 30, 2012. The record result is a 1.7% increase over the 26,312 units sold in the third quarter of 2011.
