BMW R-Series description

1995 BMW R100RT Classic Edition in exceptional condition. The best R100RT BMW ever made. 13,608 miles since engine rebuilt by BMW Certified shop at 79,788 miles (fully documented) thus 93,396 total miles. Everything that needed to be adjusted or replaced has been done over time. Steering is tight, great brakes, smooth and good power range, etc.

It is absolutely gorgeous and very well maintained. Previously owned by long distance rider so all had to be in top order at all times to ride those long highway miles.  It comes with two BMW high mileage awards on the side cases (see pics). BMW gives these awards to the person riding, not to the bike.

Bike is not a trailer queen but a long distance touring in exceptional condition for its age and miles. Bike can be inspected in Sarasota, FL.

Moto 3, Oral Engineering and the 2012 BMW S1000RR

Thu, 01 Mar 2012

KTM and Honda may have been the main players at recent Jerez Moto 3 test but GP newcomers, Oral Engineering, weren’t too far behind with our very own Danny Webb posting the 15th best time. Italian based Oral are supplying engines to Mahindra Racing (Danny & Marcel Schrotter) and Ambroggio Next Racing (Simone Grotzki & Giulian Pedone). Mahindra have their motor housed in an all new, Italian tubular steel chassis, while Ambroggio have gone down the more economic route of using their 2011 Aprilia RSW 125 chassis.

Tested: Metzeler Sportec M5 Interact

Mon, 15 Mar 2010

With its clever Interact technology Metzeler has created a tyre that has a varying carcass construction to alter how the rubber performs. Without going too deeply the M5 consists of five bands of belting that vary in stiffness. At the outer edges of the tyre the carcass is quite flexible, allowing the rubber to move around and generate more heat and therefore grip, while nearer the tyre’s centre the carcass is stiffer, reducing the rubber’s movement and decreasing its wear.

2021 Lightweight Naked Bike Shootout Smackdown Comparo Review

BMW G310R vs Husqvarna Svartpilen 401 vs Kawasaki Z400 vs KTM Duke 390 vs Yamaha MT-03 You know what they say: It’s more fun to ride a slow motorcycle fast than a fast motorcycle slow. Yet another example of conventional wisdom baloney. It’s actually more fun to ride a fast bike fast, or even a medium-fast one.
