BMW R-Series description

I bought this bile because I have 1993 R100RS that is mint condition and I wanted a bike to do to my Sunday Mornings rides on, while keeping the 100rs mint. My family now takes up my Sundays (kids). So it is time to let it go. The bike is in great conditions. Tires are almost new (see pictures). It has ABS which is in perfect working order. Come with two wind screens, travel bags, throttle master, and repair manuals. The colors of the bike are the same as the one BMW used in it's add for the bike. It is a great bike both on the back roads and on the Highway. I am the third owner of the bike. Buyer of the bike pays all shipping and Insurance costs. Payment terms full payment ( funds cleared at Bank ) before shipping. $500.00 Bank Check or Cash due within 48hrs, remaining balance Bank Check or cash before shipping. If you wish to pick it up I can meet you at Westchester County Airport.

The Avon 3D Ultra range

Tue, 27 Mar 2012

As with many things, the world of motorbikes goes in phases. It be might be manufacturers dominating a certain segment of the market or even one country seemingly having a never ending supply of successful racers and the same goes for tyres. Back in the eighties and early nineties if you wanted racing success in the Supersport class Avon tyres would be your most likely weapon of choice.

How to destroy a GoPro

Wed, 14 Mar 2012

That scraping sound you can hear is a mixture of a knee slider and the GoPro camera housing grazing the tarmac at Mugello. The footage was shot on-board the BMW Motorrad France Team Thevent machine ridden by Hugo Marchand, in testing ahead of the 2012 Endurance World Championship. He managed to wreck the housing that holds the GoPro camera after only three laps.

2023 BMW S1000RR Review - First Ride

Thu, 29 Dec 2022

Bavarian Bullet Credit: Photos by BMW Motorrad/Markus Jahn and Jörg Künstle It scarcely seems possible that BMW Motorrad’s lineup-leading S1000RR sportbike actually made its official public debut a whole decade and a half ago in April 2008, with deliveries beginning the following year. Even though 15 years is a long time, especially in the Superbike arena, where serious players like BeeEm, as well as Ducati, Aprilia, and the Japanese, don’t stint on investing in fast-moving high-end technical R&D in pursuit of engineering excellence, the German brand’s first-ever customer motorcycle with a transverse-mounted four-cylinder has maintained its leading edge reputation for both mechanical and electronic innovation ever since then, and the newly introduced latest version is no exception. This is because, for the coming 2023 model year, BMW has essentially uprated its existing volume production version of the bike by transplanting a good chunk of the array of technical upgrades available until now only to around 1,200 well-heeled or well-sponsored users of the M1000RR, the uber-expensive, uber-performing version of BMW’s street-legal superbike that’s been on sale for the past two years, essentially as a homologation special for Superbike racing.
