Here's the run-down -1994 BMW R1100 RS runs like a champ -Pearl White -Dings in the paint from road debris picked up while riding (aka character) -103,751 miles -Brakes are about 90%, having been replaced in 2013 -Serviced at 100,500 miles -Self-cancelling turn signals that operate as running lights when not in use as turn signals -LED hyper-lights for the brakes -Headlight lens protector -Bar backs on the handlebars -Auxiliary lights up front - some cracks in the lenses of those, but they work well -Case guards on cylinder heads -2 year old battery -Does NOT have ABS brakes -Heated grip on the throttle (that's the only side BMW put it on for this model, for this year) -Stainless bolt kit installed -Corbin seat is mounted on the bike for comfort -Throttle lock -Michelin Pilot 3 tires in close to new condition - less than 1000 miles INCLUDED EXTRAS -Oil filter and wrench -Tank bag -Side cases and trunk *all of which are keyed to the ignition key, and all of which have scratches, but still function just as they should -Seat original to the bike is included -Original manual and other manuals as shown in the photos -Tool kit -Various spare parts, including clutch cable, bulbs, alternator belt, and fuel filter *******SHIPPING******* ---LOCAL PICK UP ONLY-- IF YOU WANT THE BIKE SHIPPED, YOU MUST ARRANGE ALL SHIPPING AT YOUR OWN RISK. V.I.P treatment for first Dainese D-Air customers
Fri, 08 Jul 2011To celebrate the release of the D-Air race suit in the UK, Dainese are offering the first 20 customers to order a complete V.I.P treatment at the upcoming World Superbike round at Silverstone. The iconic safety brand will have each of the customer's suits personally tailored, with measurements undertaken by a Dainese D-Air engineer from the factory in Italy. Following this, the first 20 customers to register will receive a hospitality lunch, garage tours of the Aprilia, BMW and Kawasaki teams with the opportunity to meet the Dainese riders and rub well protected shoulders with the big names of the WSB paddock.
The solution to a pricey GPS mount
Wed, 26 Aug 2009So you've gone out and bought your BMW R1200GS, you're ready to circumnavigate the globe's toughest roads - or ride over some potholes on your way to work - but you've got a dilemma: no way to mount your GPS device! So what you should do is exactly what this chap's done and use a spatula and a few rubber bands to mount-up your GPS for easy use. And the bonus is that when you get to where you're going, you can use the spatula with your BBQ and triple it up as a fly-swatter too.
WSBK 2013: Laguna Seca Race Report
Mon, 30 Sep 2013Tom Sykes and Eugene Laverty each came away with a victory as the World Superbike Championship made its return to Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca. The first race featured two red flags, ironically caused by AMA Superbike regulars Danny Eslick and Roger Hayden, the two men with the most recent experience at the famed track. The second race was a much cleaner affair, with a dramatic finish, setting up the final two rounds of the championship.
