You are looking at a 1987 BMW R100 RT model which began life as a fully faired touring bike and has been reimagined as a cafe racer. Custom leather saddle and fiberglass rear end, modern LED indicator lights and taillight. Pegs are relocated for a sportier riding position and handlebars have been swapped. Bike has a deep growl, but is not obnoxious...sounds like an air cooled porsche on two wheels. ONLY QUALITY PARTS USED. The original block, trans and running gear have not been modified and are in great running order. Very strong bike, shifts smooth and idles consistently. Just installed a new starter and battery. Mileage unknown ( no odometer)- last recorded was around 50k. Turn signals stopped working after new battery was installed, needs troubleshooting. BMW Concept 6 [video]
Mon, 23 Nov 2009BMW introduced an inline six-cylinder café racer concept at the 2009 EICMA show in Milan, Italy. Inline-six engines have a staple in BMW’s automobiles for decades and the German manufacturer’s motorcycle division took on the challenge of adapting the straight-six to a bike without making it too long or too wide. The result is the BMW Motorrad Concept 6, and an evolution BMW says “will further expand the K-Series in the foreseeable future”.

2012-2013 BMW S1000RR Side Stand Recall Expands to US
Fri, 28 Dec 2012Earlier this month, we reported a recall issued by Transport Canada for the 2012 and 2013 BMW S1000RR because of a problem with their side stands. That recall has now expanded to the U.S., affecting 2,385 units. According to documents released by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the side stand attachment bolts on the affect BMW S1000RR units can loosen because of a manufacturing fault.
