2025 Ducati DesertX Discovery – First Look

Adventure-ready variant priced at $19,995 Ducati announced a new DesertX variant that comes standard with a number of accessories to make it more adventure-ready. With an MSRP of $19,995, the 2025 Ducati DesertX Discovery offers a middle-ground between the $17,995 baseline DesertX and the more hardcore $22,995 DesertX Rally. The DesertX Discovery comes standard with reinforced handguards, engine guards, a radiator grill, water pump protection, and a beefier bash plate than the standard DesertX.

EICMA 2013: 2014 BMW R1200RT Revealed

We confess, the BMW R1200RT was a glaring omission from our list of top 10 motorcycles to watch at EICMA. There are so many new bikes coming out at the 2013 EICMA show, it was hard enough to narrow it down to just 10, but that doesn’t excuse us forgetting BMW is adding another model powered by the new R1200GS‘ liquid-cooled boxer engine. Follow the rest of our 2013 EICMA show coverage The peak numbers for the R1200RT are the same as with the GS, with BMW claiming 125 hp at 7700 rpm and 92.2 ft-lb at 6500 rpm.

The test mule was heavily disguised, to the point of having panels with a fake trellis covering the real subframe. The prototypes were so raw, it was difficult to tell exactly how much of it would make it to a production model.
