Up for Auction is a 1981 BMW R80G/S.
Was running when I purchased the bike 2 years ago. has not been ridden in 1.5 years.
According to previous owner, He spent lot of time and money maintaining and restoring it to perfprm and look as if it had never been ridden.
The Paris-Dakar parts were found new individually across the country. since the PD kits were no longer available.
The bike has no history or indication of damage of any kind. It is "like new" in so many respects that I encourage you to think of it in those terms.
This bike made in April of 1981 was delivered to the US in blue with orange and light blue graphics.
Previous owner (2nd owner) purchased the bike with "low mileage" from the original owner and ridden for several years.
The speedometer failed was replaced with a new one and indicated 1,274 miles with the total mileage a documented 22,000 miles from entries in the owners manual.
There are small touch ups on current fuel tank.
