As the title states this auction is for a 1978 R100RS Motorsport Edition.This is the one bike I thought I would never sell,but things happen,and so the bike is for sale.A lot of time,effort and money has gone into this bike.The list is as follows:

Note: The first picture shows the bike with Progressive rear shocks.The bike currently has Koni shocks.I didn't realize this when I posted the pictures.I always like the way the bike looked in that picture so I added it without thinking about the fact I took that picture before I swapped the shocks.

BMW Warns of Potential Defect in 2014 R1200RT Suspension
Thu, 05 Jun 2014BMW is issuing a warning to owners of the 2014 R1200RT with the Dynamic ESA option about a potential defect with the rear suspension. No formal recall has been announced at the moment; BMW is calling it a precautionary measure, though that may change in time or depending on the market. According to BMW, the piston rod of the rear spring strut could break.

Mon, 23 Apr 2012The Netherlands hosted a dramatic weekend of World Superbike racing that featured a red-flagged wet race, several riders crashing while leading, a first-time race winner, a photo finish between two teammates and the reigning World Champion finishing out of the points because of a poor choice of tires. The 2011 WSBK Champion Carlos Checa arrived at Assen with the lead in the championship and a three-race winning streak, but opting to run wet tires in Race Two cost him the lead and may have contributed to a crash that severely injured Liberty Racing‘s Brett McCormick. 40-Day Motorcycle Ride for Breast Cancer Groups
Fri, 17 Jun 2011Charlotte, N.C., writer and motorcycle adventurer Tamela Rich is heading out on a cross-country ride to raise money for breast cancer causes. Along her tour, Rich will meet with breast cancer survivors and interview them for her upcoming book, “Live Full Throttle: What You Can Learn About Life From Women Who’ve Faced Cancer”. This will be Rich’s second tour across the country.
