BMW R-Series description

I am selling my 1978 BMW R80/7 motorcycle because I don't have time to ride as much as I want to

I bought this bike approximately two and a half years ago from its original owner and brought it back to life. There were never any major issues with it, he had just run out of time to use it.

Since purchasing it I have cleaned it up quite well and it starts right up and runs great.  Could use some fine tuning but it started right up after being stored in my garage all winter.

-Fresh oil & plugs
-new petcocks
-new battery
-Tank and fenders have been cleaned of all debris and repainted

29,900 miles

Overall it's in great shape considering its a 38 year old bike.

Feel free to contact me with any questions or additional pictures but I would love to pass this on to another enthusiast.

Clean title in hand!

WSBK: 2012 Moscow Results

Mon, 27 Aug 2012

The historic race first-ever World Superbike Championship round in Russia provided plenty of drama with several top riders crashing out of both races and a new leader emerge in the chase for the 2012 WSBK Championship. Superpole qualifying made for four different manufacturers lining up in the first row of the grid, with Carlos Checa taking pole position for Althea Ducati ahead of Kawasaki‘s Tom Sykes, Aprilia‘s Eugene Laverty and BMW rider Leon Haslam. A slightly damp and unfamiliar track likely contributed to a number of crashes and collisions.

WSBK 2012: Assen Results

Mon, 23 Apr 2012

The Netherlands hosted a dramatic weekend of World Superbike racing that featured a red-flagged wet race, several riders crashing while leading, a first-time race winner, a photo finish between two teammates and the reigning World Champion finishing out of the points because of a poor choice of tires. The 2011 WSBK Champion Carlos Checa arrived at Assen with the lead in the championship and a three-race winning streak, but opting to run wet tires in Race Two cost him the lead and may have contributed to a crash that severely injured Liberty Racing‘s Brett McCormick.
