BMW R-Series description

1978 BMW R100S with close to 35k miles
this a great bike that would make a nice addition for any collector, or a great daily driver or sport touring motorcycle.
I just recently took it on a 600 mile trio through several state parks in southern Utah and he handled like a champ.
plenty of power. I have had several other BMW airheads and this one is by far the smoothest and fastest.
the speedometer stopped working when i purchased it and the previous owner said it was close to 32k miles
I have replaced the original speedometer from one off a R100rt and everything works except the back light. it might just need a bulb.
there are a few minor scratches on the lower right hand side of the motorcycle tank and some light cracks on the top of the fairing
from being over tightened by the previous owner.
the bike has custom mufflers that have been tuned beautifully and have a nice mean sound without being too loud, and they don't backfire!
brand new AGM style battery that has tons of cca  for turning the 1000cc engine over
comes with factory tire pump that is located under the seat
both hard bags and brackets
the original seat has been upholstered in a nice black fabric and has 2 hidden storage compartments.
tires are good
brakes are good
oil was just changed
and only has a small leak about the size of a penny on the ground if left sitting for a while.

Triumph Teases 2025 Speed Twin RS

Tue, 03 Sep 2024

A sportier Modern Classic is on the way Triumph has released teasers for a new addition to its Modern Classics lineup, which we believe to be a 2025 Speed Twin RS. No announcement date was provided, but we suspect the full reveal will be coming in the next month or so. The teasers, sent out on Triumph’s social media channels and an email update sign-up page on its official website, show a familiar-looking fuel tank shape with the letters “RS” clearly displayed.

Hire a BMW S1000RR

Mon, 18 Jan 2010

SPYDER Club motorcycle hire club invites two wheeled enthusiasts to join them in southern Spain for 4 days of riding through the mountains of Andalusia on the Aprilia RSV4 Factory, Ducati’s 1198S and the company's latest arrival, BMW’s new S1000RR.  Guests arrive from the 12th February with the final riders leaving on the 7th March. Spyder Club will be based in a villa above the village of Casabermeja and are running a total of 5 trips, each for 6 participants, during that time. The £800 asking price for the short break includes bike hire, accommodation, fuel and food. Ideal if you fancy a blast on BMW's new superbike but don't fancy lashing out £13,000 for one of you own.

Winter weather but summer carries on.

Aye, it’s been a another good week in the world of Niall Mackenzie. My friends at Moto Direct sent me a new RST Pro Series suit to try out, I acquired some new rubber for my S10000RR and young Taylor Mac splashed home to 12th place on his Aprilia in the 125cc British Grand Prix. Being no fashion guru and pretty ancient now I’m satisfied the brightest suit I’ve ever climbed into looks the biz.
