Loss of income has forced me to sell (Ragnar)

This Cafe Racer was designed and built by myself and a friend that is a semi retired old school BMW mechanic. It started life as a very nice 1978 R100RT. We finished it back in the fall of 2010, but I've only put around 500 miles on it in that time, it's been babied and has spent it's life inside. The bike always turned heads where ever it goes, and it also demands you take notice with the open megaphone exhaust.

Most of the riding I've done on this bike is here in town, I hauled it up to Northern Illinois a few years back and rode to Starved Rock with my brother, took it to the Barber Vintage Festival in Birmingham, AL back in 2011 for the first annual Cafe Racer Show.

Motor: Low mile engine was completely disassembled, cleaned, new gasket and seal kit and freshened up with new rings

Powdercoat Black: FRAME/SUBFRAME/SWINGARM/FRONT WHEEL

REAR WHEEL HUB/CYLINDERS

Polished Aluminum: AIRBOX/ROCKER COVERS/STARTER COVER/ALTERNATOR COVER/TIMING COVER/FINAL DRIVE

Stainless Steel: REAR RIM and SPOKES laced by Buchanan's Spoke & Rim Inc

Vintage San Jose: BMW Rear-Sets (Foot Pegs)

New Ducati fairing w/black factory paint

Ducati 748 front fender/front brembo master cylinder and brake assembly

Early 90's K100RS forks (new seals)/clamps/wheel/brembo brake calipers and custom made mounts...no airhead ever came stock with stopping power like this.

I replaced the Gas Tank last year with a professionally painted very nice original w/redcoat liner inside.

Shocks: new take offs from a Sportster

Seat was custom made here in town and tail is a fibeglass unit

Has a slim Odyssey Battery w/ custom made top bracket

How to Replace Harley-Davidson Motorcycle Handlebars

Wed, 03 Jul 2024

What’s the first thing that comes to mind when thinking about riding your motorcycle? Not to get too sappy about things, but a good portion of us will probably picture grabbing the handlebars and thumbing the starter switch before what’s hopefully an epic ride – even if it’s only to the office. The handlebars are the main connection point to our machines, where the all-important throttle, brake, and clutch controls call home.

BMW R nineT from the 1950s

Mon, 24 Nov 2014

The Italian division of BMW invited local custom workshops to work on a new R nineT roadster. Representatives of a young studio Officine Sbrannetti were the first to respond, proposing a project for the reincarnation of the legendary BMW RS54 Rennsport. R nineT was the seventh project of the company, which began its existence about two years ago.
