Technical Work performed on the motorcycle by our skilled techs: Repaired engine leaks, Replace master cylinder system for front brake and new brake line Remove and replace engine top end and replaced push rod seals, clean cylinders, top end, valves, check vacuum, replace gaskets and seals. Resurfaced valves and recut seats. Remove transmission and clean, lubed spline. Remove clutch assembly and clean. Replace friction clutch disk. Replaced rear main seal, oil pump seal, and transmission neutral switch. Rear clean - Clutch bell housing Install Boyer Digital Electronic ignition system (Remove, strip, clean and assemble carbs. - All new O rings, gaskets floats, needles) Replaced very worn charging alternator brushes Final drive rebuilt - new bearing and seals - Brake shoes replaced Sync, Tune, Timed Engine Needs nothing but a tour!! Celebrity Jurors Named for BMW R1200GS Contest
Mon, 26 Nov 2012BMW announced its four-member celebrity jury panel for its globe-spanning “Ride of Your Life” R1200GS adventure contest. The panel is comprised of Academy-Award winner Adrien Brody, Paris-Dakar Rally winner Jutta Kleinschmidt, actor Rick Yune and noted motorcycle adventurer Charley Boorman. The panel will select five winners for the “Ride of Your Life” contest (also known as the “One World, One GS” contest) to promote the new 2013 BMW R1200GS.
John Surtees to Lead Classic Vehicle Parade Fundraiser
Fri, 03 May 2013Motorsports legend John Surtees will lead a parade of classic cars and motorcycles – including Surtees’ 1960 500cc Grand Prix Championship-winning MV Agusta – in his home town of Edenbridge, England. Surtees is the only person to have ever won world championships in both Grand Prix motorcycle racing and Formula One, and the parade will feature cars and bikes from his time as both a racer and a racing team owner. Surtees himself will drive the Team Surtees TS7, a F1 car constructed by his own team that debuted at the 1970 British Grand Prix at Brands Hatch.
2007-2008 BMW K1200R, K1200S Recalled for Foaming Brake Fluid
Tue, 16 Oct 2012BMW is issuing a recall on the 2007-2008 K1200S, K1200R and K1200R Sport models due to a problem with the front brake hydraulics. In long rides at high rpms, engine vibrations may cause the full front brake fluid to foam. This would occur at a very narrow rev range and only when the brake fluid reservoir is filled to maximum.
