This beautiful BMW boxer twin motorcycle is one of those manufactured in Berlin, Germany by BMW in 1972.
The /5 "airhead" models are air cooled, four stroke, opposed twin, boxer engine hemispherical combustion chambers.
Rust free, well cared for, always garage kept motorcycle looking for an owner that appreciates an asset that will continue to gain value.
This 44 year old airhead is more than a classic and ready to roll for many years to come.
Included with this motorcycle that I received as a gift from my father in law is a brand new R60/5 clutch disc.
This motorcycle starts great however I'm not a motorcycle expert and I don't ride like I said it's a gift.

BMW Motorrad announced the winners of its “Ride of Your Life” contest, giving five people the chance to travel on a worldwide tour on the new R1200GS. The five winners are Stephanie Rowe, a 25-year-old enduro racer who works in the motorcycle accessories industry in the U.K., Herbert Unger, a 50-year-old German metal worker, Alessio Cigolini, an Italian who loves riding through Tuscany, Salvador Echevarrķa, a 41-year-old businessman from Spain, and Stephane Gautronneau, a 39-year-old fashion photographer from France. MSF Begins Year-long Real World Motorcycle Safety Study

A new document released by the California Air Resources Board reveals the more luxurious K1600GTL may be getting its own special variant as well. CARB released a new executive order for its 2014 K16 models including the K1600GTL Exclusive alongside the regular K1600GTL and the K1600GT.
