This beautiful BMW boxer twin motorcycle is one of those manufactured in Berlin, Germany by BMW in 1972. The /5 "airhead" models are air cooled, four stroke, opposed twin, boxer engine hemispherical combustion chambers. Rust free, well cared for, always garage kept motorcycle looking for an owner that appreciates an asset that will continue to gain value. This 44 year old airhead is more than a classic and ready to roll for many years to come. Included with this motorcycle that I received as a gift from my father in law is a brand new R60/5 clutch disc. This motorcycle starts great however I'm not a motorcycle expert and I don't ride like I said it's a gift. This motorcycle is SOLD AS IS! Kymco to Supply BMW with i3 Electric Car Range Extender and New 400cc Scooter Engine
Fri, 25 Jan 2013The automotive world has been buzzing of late about BMW‘s upcoming i3 electric car having an optional range extending gas-powered motorcycle engine. As our sister site Autoguide.com reports, the i3 will be available with an optional two-cylinder BMW motorcycle engine to power a generator which can recharge the electric motor and extend the vehicle’s range to 250 miles compared to a range of 60-90 miles relying just on the battery. It turns out that two-cylinder motorcycle engine will actually be provided to BMW by Taiwanese manufacturer Kymco.

BMW Sells Husqvarna to Pierer Industrie AG
Thu, 31 Jan 2013The BMW Group has announced the sale of 110-year old Husqvarna Motorcycles to Austrian-based Pierer Industrie AG. “The BMW Group signed a purchase agreement with Pierer Industrie AG (Austria) for the acquisition of Husqvarna Motorcycles. The acquisition will proceed subject to approval by anti-trust authorities.
