BMW R-Series description

Beautiful 1970 BMW R60/5, frame & engine are numbers matching.  The cylinders, pistons & carbs are from an R75/5 so it's a 750 cc engine.  Cylinders are bored, new pistons, new valves & valve guides and the Bing Carbs are completely rebuilt.  I also installed electronic ignition.

Fenders & tank have been repainted.  New Corbin seat, tires, battery & mufflers.  I made it "Café" but frame was not cut.  All parts are "bolt on" so can return to original look.  I have all the original parts; cylinders, pistons, carbs, heads, seat, handle bars & mirrors.

This is a perfect rebuild and runs better than new with electronic ignition. This is a fun & reliable bike to ride, don't pass it by.  Only 560 miles on rebuild.

Local pick up only in Lincoln, Nebraska.  If you cannot pick it up, don't bid.

Listing may end early because it's for sale locally, "buy it now" if you want it because it's going to sale.

Ash was also a popular freelancer, most notably as the regular motorcycle correspondent for the British newspaper the Daily Telegraph.

2015 BMW S1000XR Spied – Inline-Four Multistrada Rival on the Way

Mon, 31 Mar 2014

Spy photographers have captured a new BMW adventure-tourer powered by the S1000RR’s Inline-Four engine. The new model, which we expect will be called the 2015 BMW S1000XR, will be more road-oriented than the company’s bread-and-butter GS line, offering a competitor to the likes of the Ducati Multistrada 1200 or the recently reviewed Aprilia Caponord 1200. Other publications that have published the spy photos (Insella.it and MotorcyclistOnline for example) have put forward names such as S1000F or S1000 ADV for the new model, but a trademark application BMW filed with the USPTO suggests it may be introduced as the “S1000XR”.
