NOW READ THIS ONE & LOOK AT THE PICTURES CLOSELY, THIS BIKE WAS BOUGHT NEW @ ELLIS CYCLE CENTER IN WINSTON/SALEM NC, CUSTOMER BOUGHT 3 NEW BMW'S OFF OF THEM, A R27 A R50 ONE YEAR LATER TRADED HER IN ON A R69S , ALL THREE BIKES WERE MAINTAINED AT DEALER, AS HE TRADED THEM IN THE DEALER KEPT THEM, ENDED UP SELLING THEM TO GHOST MOTORCYCLES FOR THEIR MUSEUM WHERE THEY SAT FOR YEARS ON DISPLAY, HARD TO IMAGINE A BIKE THIS OLD IN SUCH NICE CONDITION, AMAZINGLY IT WAS NEVER LEFT OUTSIDE, BANGED AROUND IN THE GARAGE, KNOCKED OVER BY YOUR BROTHER OR HAD BOXES STACKED ON TOP OF IT..... ASSOCIATE OF MINE BOUGHT TWO OF THE BIKES FROM THE MUSEUM WHEN THEY LIQUIDATED SOME INVENTORY, OF COURSE HIS WIFE HAS A NUTTY.... THATS WHEN I GOT A PHONE CALL TO BUY HIM OUT OF THESE OR HE WAS GOING TO GET DIVORCED..... EICMA 2013: 2014 BMW S1000R Revealed
Tue, 05 Nov 2013BMW revealed a new naked version of its flagship S1000RR superbike, presenting the new 2014 S1000R at the 2013 EICMA show in Milan. Follow the rest of our 2013 EICMA show coverage The 999cc inline-Four engine has been retuned for low- to mid-range performance, with redesigned cylinder head ducts, modified cam profiles, updated engine management and a 2000 rpm reduction in the rev limit. BMW claims a peak output of 158 hp at 11000 rpm, compared to the S1000RR’s 193 hp claims.
WSBK: 2012 Magny-Cours Results – Championship Decided by Half a Point
Tue, 09 Oct 2012You would think carrying a 30.5 point lead into the final round of the 2012 World Superbike Championship would be a safe enough margin to win the title. Aprilia‘s Max Biaggi made it interesting, inexplicably crashing out of the first race at the finale in Magny-C0urs before scoring a fifth place finish in Race Two to give him a 0.5 point margin over Kawasaki‘s Tom Sykes to win the title. The 358 to 357.5 point difference is the narrowest finish ever in WSBK.
BMW C650GT Recalled in Canada for Loose Luggage Rack Fasteners
Mon, 27 May 2013Transport Canada announced a recall for the 2013 BMW C650GT scooter because of a problem with its accessory luggage rack mounting. On certain units, the fasteners which secure the luggage rack to the rear of the passenger grab rail may loosen over time. This may lead to the rack, and any cases attached to it, to fall off, potentially striking other vehicles, pedestrians or other objects.
