1967 R50/2 with very low mileage and very stock.
Complete matching number bike with clear title in hand. Has newer battery (this spring) and
was licensed and ready to ride when I got it. Runs good and shifts good. All electrical works
properly. Speedo & ODO working properly. Has Hella bar end turn signals, engine guards & Denfeld rear
rack. Tires are in good shape....sorry but I do not have service records but it
only has 11,800 miles on clock. Seat is like new..shocking to
me.
Problems I saw...small ding on top of fuel tank, right hand side top...inside of fuel tank looks like new...original red coat & small ding & scratch on top of tank..see photo's. Front fender was repainted from front brace to where shocks come down..didn't see it until I dusted it off. Left hand mirror mount stripped out. Driveshaft Boot starting to crack...but new one included. Has Tool Kit, Owners Manual (repop) & all Keys including steering lock. Comes with extra parts including H4 Headlight Conversion, some New Shocks, S/S Bolt Kit, BMW Parts Book & more...see photo's. Survey Says Harley-Davidson and BMW Motorcycles Less Reliable Than Japanese – But Owners Don’t Care
Tue, 26 Mar 2013A new survey conducted by the Consumer Reports National Research Center finds BMW and Harley-Davidson owners are much more likely to report major problems with their motorcycles than owners of Honda, Kawasaki and Yamaha motorcycles. The survey, which will appear on the April 2013 issue of Consumer Reports, says one in three BMW owners reported experiencing a major problem with their bikes in the last four years. Harley-Davidson owners were slightly better, with one in four reporting serious issues.
BMW to Partner with India’s TVS Motor Company
Mon, 03 Dec 2012BMW is getting closer to signing a partnership agreement with India’s TVS Motor Company. The partnership, expected to be finalized before the end of March, would see TVS receive access to BMW technology while the German manufacturer would increase its footprint in the world’s second most-populated nation. TVS is one of India’s largest manufacturers but it has recently slipped to fourth from third behind Hero MotoCorp, Bajaj Auto and Honda.
BMW Concept Ninety Marks Motorrad’s 90th Anniversary and 40 Years of BMW R90S
Fri, 24 May 2013BMW revealed a new concept to mark the company’s 90th year in the motorcycle business while also paying tribute to a classic: the BMW R90S. (UPDATED with video.) The product of a collaboration between the BMW Motorrad Design studio and Roland Sands Designs, the BMW Concept Ninety will be displayed alongside other classic BMW motorcycles at the 2013 Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este, May 24-26 in Italy. The Concept Ninety carries many styling cues from the R90S, BMW’s classic superbike.
