BMW R-Series description

Please see the High Resolution Photographs for condition and title.  This motorcycle will need to be restored and built using the R69S matching frame and engine and title.  It's a 54+ year old vintage bike, unrestored.    If you have the funds available for purchase, and would like questions answered I will return phone calls to U.S. numbers.  Please be a serious buyer if calling.  Leave a voice message at (nine O for) 23for-sixtyseven eighty.  I have other horses in the stable, and am thinning the herd so check my other auctions for uncommon German and Italian motorcycles.  I have been riding and collecting BMW motorcycles since 1987.  Time changes everything, and I am finally ready to let someone else enjoy owning some of them.

Again, please see the high resolution photos for condition.

The R69S is the most powerful and desirable of all 1955 to 1969 BMW's.  This model is increasing in value and becoming more appreciated by new collectors every day.   Restore it, finally have an R69S.     Make it yours.

BMW Sales Down 2.3% in First Half of 2012 but Record Finish Still Predicted

Fri, 06 Jul 2012

BMW predicts a record year for motorcycle sales despite a 2.3% dip over the first six months. The first half of 2012 saw BMW sell 59,189 units, down from the 60,580 units reported for the same period in 2011. The decrease is primarily because of a 13.2% drop in sales in June.

EICMA 2012: Bimota BB2 Concept Revealed with BMW S1000RR Engine

Fri, 16 Nov 2012

Bimota revealed a new concept sportbike at the 2012 EICMA Show equipped with a BMW S1000RR engine. The Bimota BB2 concept is the first product of a new partnership signed with BMW that would see the German manufacturer supply S1000RR engines for Bimota. The S1000RR engine has class-leading numbers, with the 172.4 hp we measured in our 2012 European Literbike Shootout a 10.4 hp advantage over any literbike we dyno’ed for that shootout or the Japanese Literbike Shootout.
