BMW CRASH BARS / ENGINE GUARDS Selling a nice set of crash bars. I took these off a 1960 R69. The chrome is in decent condition, minor scuffs. Very usable. Scuffs are on the bottom, not noticeable. Comes with original 4 clamps, the other two you will need are a standard u-bolt clamp that all hardware stores sell for about $2.00. Please do not ask for shipping quotes, this can vary so much, depending on if I'm shipping to Fla or Calif. I would guess that shipping and handling will be around $40-$45. 2013 BMW R1200GS Deliveries Delayed to Fix Suspension Issue
Mon, 04 Mar 2013BMW has reportedly delayed delivers of the revamped R1200GS in Italy to correct a problem with its Telelever front suspension. According to Motociclismo.it, BMW discovered a problem where the Telelever meets the steering plate. BMW reportedly has a fix, but it requires some special tooling.

NHTSA Fines BMW $3 Million for Late Recall Reporting
Mon, 13 Feb 2012BMW has agreed to pay civil penalties of $3 million for failing to report safety defects in a timely manner to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. By U.S. federal law, manufacturers are required to notify NHTSA of safety defects or noncompliance issues within five days of discovering the issue.
