Up for auction is my 1975 Honda GL 1000 Goldwing with just 7,162 Miles! I purchased this bike from the second owner in 2005. The second owner purchased it in 1976 so he was effectively the first owner. Upon purchasing the bike I replaced the fuel pump, tires and rebuilt the carbs with Randakk carb rebuild kit. I put less than one thousand miles on it and stored it away occasionally going into storage and starting and running it. I kept Stab-il additive in the fuel at all times. I recently sold my storage facility and am now selling my bikes and one of my automobiles. This is an unmolested survivor with very few miles. Currently it is running but could use a good carb cleaning as it idles rough. The bike pulls good running through the gears. I suspect the idle circuit needs to be cleaned but frankly I haven't the time or inclination anymore to go through it. The horn, lights and turn signals all work as they should including the slightly annoying turn indicator buzzer. Cosmetically it is very clean except for a small half dollar size spot where the paint is rubbed off on the left side of the "tank" which is visible in one of the pictures. The tool kit is in the bike and I have the original owners manual. The exhaust is complete however there are some small holes in the underside. You can certainly find a better running bike but nothing a good tune up shouldn't cure. This Goldwing was built in the 70's by Malott's Honda in Manteca California,Malott's built custom Goldwings & sold their own line of accessories called MCA.I believe this bike was the first or one of the first that they built to showcase their products in print ads & at motorcycle shows.It has all of the accessories offered in their catalog including the Lester mag wheels.The paint job on the bike is in amazing condition for being over 40 years old,there are some small chips here & there but it shows very well,it is all done with airbrush & is hand pinstriped there are no stickers on this bike.It has 52000mi on it & was in storage with a cover over it since 1997.I got it through a friend who had seen it in the warehouse & knew I was looking for an older Goldwing to hook up to a sidecar that I have,the bike belonged to the father of the owner of the warehouse & when he got too old to ride he parked it, & there it sat for 19 years.When the bike was put in storage the fuel was drained & the brake fluid was drained from the brake systems,I bought a new battery,changed the oil,added fresh gas & she fired right up.The brakes will need to be gone through & are not operational,the bike runs well but should be serviced before riding it.Has original toolkit,owners manual & kick starter.You will most assuredly be a hit anywhere you go on this bike,it is a time capsule from the 70's.the only reason i'm selling is I got an estimate to paint the sidecar to match the bike & almost had a heart attack.2016-06-15 04:47:34Gardnerville, Nevada, United States5031000 -

Fri, 17 Jan 2025Vespa probably isn’t the brand you’d think would be celebrating the Lunar New Year and honoring the Chinese zodiac, but for the third year in a row, the Italian brand has done just that with a limited edition 946 scooter. The 2025 Vespa 946 Snake comes after last year’s 946 Dragon and 2023’s 946 Bunny as the third entry in the brand’s Lunar Collection. We can probably expect the collection to expand over the next decade to complete the Chinese zodiac’s 12 animals, with a Horse-themed model for 2026.The 946 Dragon came in a muted golden color with a bold green dragon graphic on the front shield, while the 2023 946 Bunny had a more playful look, with a lime green color and a cartoon rabbit on the shield.

Fri, 03 Jan 2025What Harley announced… and what it didn’t Harley-Davidson announced its first batch of models returning for 2025 (well, technically second batch, if you include the returning police bikes confirmed in December, so, let’s say the first batch of consumer models). As usual, the first bikes to be announced are carry-over models, those returning with new color options and pricing adjustments, but no significant mechanical changes. Tue, 24 Dec 2024Harley-Davidson has been pretty tight-lipped about its 2025 model lineup so far, but Motorcycle.com can confirm that it will include at least one new touring model designated “FLHXU”. Considering the Street Glide is the FLHX, it’s a safe bet that the new model will be a Street Glide Ultra, which somehow has never actually existed before. For those unfamiliar with Harley-Davidson nomenclature, Ultras are Harley-Davidson’s big-rig touring models, typically equipped with fairing lowers, a Tour-Pak combination topcase and passenger backrest, plus other amenities for racking up miles in comfort.
