BMW Other description

2009 Bmw F 650 GS, TOP BOX/ CORBIN SEAT/ TALL WINDSHIELD/ FRESH SERVICE - Hop on. And blast off with BMW's newest twin. The all-new 2009 F 650 GS offers more power and more thrills per mile than ever before in the form of a 71 horsepower, torque-filled, twin cylinder engine. From touring, to off-road exploring, to sporty handling on the tarmac, this middleweight machine, based on the much anticipated F 800 GS, does anything and everything the ambitious motorcyclist could ever want. With a rigid steel tube trellis frame, it's sturdy. With a double-sided swing arm and chain drive, it's reliable. And with a low seat height and narrow design, it's ideal for darting through trees or traffic. Cast aluminum wheels and telescopic forks keep the ride smooth and precise at all times. Throw in disengageable ABS and even Tire Pressure Monitoring as options, and you get a road-hungry, enduro-styled motorcycle that can tackle anything in its path and beg for more. Available July 2008.

EICMA 2013: 2014 BMW R1200RT First Impressions Video

Tue, 05 Nov 2013

The R1200RT has gone liquid cooled, inheriting the new boxer engine with BMW’s “precision cooling” technology from the new R1200GS. But that’s not all that’s changed on the RT as Editor-in-Chief Kevin Duke points out in the video below from the 2013 EICMA show floor. With a new K1600GT-inspired look, more power and a number of factory-installed options, one of our favorite touring bikes is better than ever.   Get the Flash Player to see this player.

BMW Standardizes Switches

Thu, 23 Oct 2008

Whenever you throw your leg over a bike that isn’t your own, there is always a few minutes needed to become familiar with the proportions and controls of the foreign machine. Getting a sense of the clutch release point, brake feel, throttle response and riding position may all differ from what you have been accustomed, but they slowly become second nature after enough seat time is logged. One such control that strays from this rule of thumb is the turn signal operation of many BMWs.

2025 Kawasaki Ninja 1100SX Confirmed

Fri, 13 Sep 2024

Ninja joins Versys in getting a bigger engine Earlier this week, we confirmed engine details about a new Kawasaki Versys 1100, and found signs that suggest its 1,099cc Inline-Four engine will also be powering a replacement for the Ninja 1000SX. Motorcycle.com can now confirm that a Kawasaki Ninja 1100SX is on the way. Once again, homologation filings from Australia, where we first came across the evidence for the Versys 1100 are a font of knowledge.
