BMW Other description

2007 BMW R1200ST, This is definitely a machine we never see enough of and when they were new this was Bob???s favorite ride ??? hands down ??? he had one set up for his personal use for almost 3 years and we also installed one in our dedicated Service loaner fleet; it???s still there today because it???s so popular. In fact, the last time one came in on trade our Service Manager raised his hand and asked if he could acquire it and Bob approved that purchase. We know he won???t turn his R12ST lose without a fight and apologies in advance to him, but this one is even nicer than the one he got and has impressively low original miles as well.So that???s a big incentive for someone in the market for perhaps the best sport touring bike BMW ever built with the emphasis on the sport side. These models have adjustable handlebars, adjustable windscreen and adjustable seats all from the factory which makes for a very ergonomically perfect machine for wide range of individuals looking to own a BMW, shorter like Bob or taller like most of those who own ST???s. It???s one of the few non-low chassis machines where Bob, at a mere 5???5??? can solidly put his feet on the ground when the seat is in the low position and if one were to purchase the optional lower seat they???d be flat footed. Install it in the upper position and presto ??? a great riding position for everyone else. This one appears to have been very well cared for prior to arriving at Bob???s and it is in a very rare color ??? Titan Silver ??? because BMW built very few of these models without the less desirable 3 color body panel combination that usually encompassed blue or red with silver and a dark gray section. This Titan Silver is simply stunning outside in day light or inside under LED???s. It was built by BMW in early 2007 and first retailed at the end of April of the same year and includes Integral ABS, the On Board Computer, Heated Grips, Center Stand (yes many came without), the Luggage Rack and the BMW accessory socket. It has since had BMW Saddlebags and a BMW Trunk added along with a very nice, slightly taller Z-Technik Windscreen plus Bob???s also installed a Powerlet accessory outlet as an upgrade. The bike is about a spotless top to bottom and end to end as you might hope to locate.

Turn your BMW into a fire engine

Wed, 16 Mar 2011

German fire engine and pump manufacturer Rosenbauer have utilised the ubiquitous BMW 1200 boxer engine to produce a powerful and lightweight water pump.  The engine runs as normal, using it's torqey qualities to power the high pressure waterpump attached.  Firefighters can carry this compact pump closer to the fire, and go where the normal fire engine cannot reach.
