BMW Other description

2007 BMW K1200GT, We've had very steady demand over the past few years for this exact machine, thankfully we've also seen more than a few very nice examples arrive at Bob's in the form of trades plus a few we got to just purchase when someone was making space in their garage or lives for other things. Despite that good fortune we've not had one available more often that we'd like. With just a little over 10,000 miles this one is barely broken in so it makes for an exceptionally good value by comparison to most other used examples most of our previous offerings while in excellent shape still had 25,000 plus miles on them when they arrived. A few had well over 40,000 and they still sell fast.To the best of our knowledge we acquired it from the second owner who purchased it in July of 2011 with 9,940 miles and he admitted to not having the time to ride it much since purchased and as a result the fuel was a little stale. We drained the fuel, added some fresh high test from our own fuel tank, installed new spark plugs and the bike sprung right back to the sporty touring machine it is designed to be. We also brought all services up to date by performing a biannual service. We also added a Powerlet outlet which is standard on every bike we sell for the most part as it makes plugging in a charger or accessory much easier. We also selected to replace the front brake disc hardware as it was showing some light rust and the bike was far too nice to have that small eyesore. Then we also did the one outstanding recall which provided for a new timing chain tooth jump guard and associated hardware. The tires were replaced along with the battery shortly before he acquired it in 2011 and they look like new since they only have about 500 miles on them. The dates of manufacture are 38/10 rear and 41/10 front which would match that seller provided information. It also received a new headlight bulb, new front & rear brake pads and a few other small warranty repairs like the new ignition ring when we inspected it at his purchase back in 2011.

2023 BMW M 1000 R Review - First Ride

Thu, 15 Dec 2022

Excessive excellence Credit: Photos by BMW Motorrad/Markus Jahn and Jörg Künstle Nothing succeeds like excess – and by concocting the 2023 M 1000 R (or “MR” as they’d like us to call it), BMW is doing its best to confirm the truth of that axiom in a two-wheeled context. How else to characterize a Naked-as-Nature straight-Four hotrod with upright handlebar and no screen, which has a 14,600 rpm redline and produces a claimed 206.5 hp at 13,750rpm, with claimed peak torque of 83.3 lb-ft at 11,000rpm, that has a homologated/proven top speed of 174 mph and weighs just 438.7 lbs with all liquids, including a full 4.4-gallon tank of fuel? Consider that just a decade ago the factory S1000RR Superbike racer which BMW’s works riders Troy Corser and Leon Haslam raced in the 2011 WSBK series produced 216 bhp at 14,900 rpm, and it’s clear that the new MR super-roadster is a statement of intent that can’t be ignored.
