BMW Other description

This is an extremely beautiful bike, I have had so many complements on it from all ages. 2005 is very rare in this model because there were only 240 shipped to the US from Germany and this 1 is candy apple red color. Gorgeous design, not the new squared off look. Clean title in hand. This is the last year these were made and only 15, 900mis. Super clean, 50 MILES-PER-GALLON, 6.5 gallon fuel tank, almost new Metzeler tires 90% front and back, 00mi possible range on a single tank, extremely well maintained. Ready to ride across the country and go the next 100, zero miles. This is the last and best year of this beautiful model including twin spark plugs per cylinder to run incredibly smooth and very responsive. No repairs or damage. Completely in like new condition. Accessories include piaa driving lamps, complete luggage system with carbon back rest for passenger, wide profile seat, cruise control locker, headlamp guard, reflective kit. Its ready to roll. Engine, final drive and transmission oil change completed recently.

When is a 500 Not a 500? – Question of the Day

Wed, 24 Apr 2024

When it's a 451, d'uh. In our last Question of the Day, we asked about some of the more… questionable names given to motorcycles (Hondas seemed to come up fairly often in the replies, which is both interesting and somehow not surprising.) I mentioned how it’s generally safer for a manufacturer to stick to a combination of letters and numbers. While that’s generally true, apart from the occasionally comical practice of tackling on another “R” to make a model sound sportier ( looking at you again, Honda), it does bring the focus onto yet another common pet peeve: motorcycles with misleading numbers in the name.

BMW M 1000 R and Updated S 1000 RR Coming for 2023

Mon, 19 Sep 2022

Updated 999cc Shiftcam engine It’s been nearly two years since BMW first debuted the M 1000 RR, its first motorcycle to carry the company’s high-performance M brand. We knew it wouldn’t be the first, though, after we broke the news that BMW had trademarked the name along with “M 1000 XR” and “M 1300 GS.” What we didn’t expect was for the next M-branded motorcycle to be based on the S 1000 R. That now looks to be the case, as a new M 1000 R model has appeared in vehicle certification documents in Switzerland and Germany.
