2004 BMW R1150RT, This is a great twin-spark R1150RT in Titan Silver with only 39,145 miles. After taking it on trade we performed a safety inspection and then completed a 36,000 mile service, installed a new BMW gel battery, replaced the left fork seal, replaced the pinion seals in the final drive and replaced the fast idle lever. This machine is in good condition with only minor blemishes due to use. There are no signs of abuse or damage from a crash or drop. In addition the bike is equipped with heated grips, ABS, fog lights, power windshield, dual horns, BMW topcase and Mayer rider seat. Kymco to Supply BMW with i3 Electric Car Range Extender and New 400cc Scooter Engine
Fri, 25 Jan 2013The automotive world has been buzzing of late about BMW‘s upcoming i3 electric car having an optional range extending gas-powered motorcycle engine. As our sister site Autoguide.com reports, the i3 will be available with an optional two-cylinder BMW motorcycle engine to power a generator which can recharge the electric motor and extend the vehicle’s range to 250 miles compared to a range of 60-90 miles relying just on the battery. It turns out that two-cylinder motorcycle engine will actually be provided to BMW by Taiwanese manufacturer Kymco.
