5812 South Broadway I have a gorgeous metallic red BMW touring bike here. It has the full fairing that really blocks the wind. The BMW system cases are all 3 there. It runs great. It has only 41,XXX miles, but I will continue to ride it, so that will go up. This is the bike for the guy who stopped in last month and said he didn't like my BMW K1200 GT. He wanted an opposed twin. I still have the K bike for those who feel otherwise. Since this is my 4th BMW since last March, I get the feeling that I'm a frustrated BMW bike dealer. I love them too, but I'll part with these. I can be reached through craigslist email, but I don't check it as often as I should. There are also too many scammers and spammers using the email link. 2013 BMW C600 Sport Fairing Recall Extended to US
Mon, 10 Dec 2012Last week, Transport Canada issued a recall on the 2013 BMW C600 Sport due to a risk of the scooter’s side fairings coming loose at high speeds. The recall has now reached the U.S., with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration also announcing a recall. According to documents released by NHTSA, the three “snap-lock” fasteners securing the left and right side trim panels may not have sufficient strength to hold the fairing in place at speeds higher than 100 mph.
BMW HP4 Gets New ABS that Works in Corners
Fri, 18 Jul 2014BMW has developed a new anti-lock braking system designed to work when a motorcycle is leaned over into a corner. The new ABS Pro system will initially be offered as a retrofit upgrade on the BMW HP4 sportbike, but it’s likely only a matter of time before the technology becomes available on other models. The ABS Pro uses the same sensors already employed by BMW’s Dynamic Traction Control and Dynamic Damping Control electronic suspension, both of which are already available on the HP4.
