2002 Aprilia Caponord, 16885mis.Aprilia caponord, fully loaded. I ve been riding BMWs for last twenty years, and wanted to try something different. If you are looking at this bike, you more than likely know what it is. This bike is in over al good condition. Tires are Metzeler tourance with about 75% tread remaining. Rotax V twin is about as good as it gets. 2006-2009 BMW F800ST and F800S Recalled in Canada

Transport Canada announced a recall for the BMW F800S and F800ST from model years 2006-2009 because of a problem with the rear wheel. At the moment, the recall has only been confirmed for Canada; we will provide an update if a recall for the U.S. is announced by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

BMW Recalls Several Models in Canada for Potential Fuel Leaks

Transport Canada has announced a recall on 18 BMW models across several model years spanning from 2005 to 2012 because of a risk of fuel leaks (the full list of models and model years is below). As of this posting, no recall has been announced for the U.S. but the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) currently has an investigation open for a similar issue, potentially affecting 45,588 BMW motorcycles.

Survey Says Harley-Davidson and BMW Motorcycles Less Reliable Than Japanese – But Owners Don’t Care

A new survey conducted by the Consumer Reports National Research Center finds BMW and Harley-Davidson  owners are much more likely to report major problems with their motorcycles than owners of Honda, Kawasaki and Yamaha motorcycles. The survey, which will appear on the April 2013 issue of Consumer Reports, says one in three BMW owners reported experiencing a major problem with their bikes in the last four years. Harley-Davidson owners were slightly better, with one in four reporting serious issues.
