There are more pictures on my picassa web album - search picasa ibpete There is a youtube video of this bike running - search youtube ibpete Current mileage is 73,968. I am the 3rd owner. I bought this bike last summer to replace my well used 2000 model that needed repairs. Regretfully, I am getting too old for a bike this heavy. I can no longer pick it up or get it on the center stand should I have a flat tire. I have over $7000 into this motorcycle and, while I don't want to get beat up too badly, I really need it gone. I will consider any and all offers. New: BMW GS Dry adventure clothing

Fri, 01 Mar 2013

BMW has launched an all-new adventure suit and gloves called the GS Dry, designed to complement its GS range of adventure motorcycles, and has also updated its adventure boots and off-road helmet for 2013. Here's the skinny from BMW:   GS Dry Suit: The all-new GS Dry Suit is ideally suited to new and younger riders; offering traditional BMW Motorrad design, comfort and safety and, above all, fantastic value for money. Crafted from breathable, tough Cordura 500 fabric, the GS Dry Suit is ready to take on any weather and terrain, featuring a wind and waterproof C.A.R.E Climate membrane and BMW Motorrad’s own NP protectors. Further small, but welcome, design touches include stretch inserts, air vents, reflective panels, leather paneling on high-wear areas on the legs and a selection of internal and external waterproof pockets. The GS Dry Suit, available in a selection of colours and sizes for both men and women, costs £750.  GS Dry Glove: New for 2013 is the GS Dry Glove, a hybrid textile/leather blend with the outstanding Gore-Tex X-Trafit membrane. Offering protection from the elements on and off-road, the GS Dry Glove features abrasion-resistant SuperFabric on the hand and memory foam for impact protection. The GS Dry Glove, available in a selection of colours and sizes for both men and women, costs £85.

BMW S1000RR drag bike

Fri, 05 Apr 2013

Whilst stretched out bikes aren't that popular over here in the UK, you can certainly appreciate them a whole lot more more when you know they're going to be used at a drag strip. This video shows bike builder and ex-racer Roland Sands work his magic on a BMW S1000RR. Future plans are to increase the engine to 300bhp, and achieve speeds of 220mph.

WSBK 2013: Monza Race Report

Mon, 13 May 2013

Eugene Laverty and Marco Melandri split a pair of victories at Monza but the most biggest news from the World Superbike weekend was a strange series of appeals after Race Two that saw Tom Sykes finish third, relegated to fourth and then reinstated on the final step of the podium. The unusual mix-up occurred after Sykes, sitting in third place, ran off track and into the run off area on Turn 5 on his final lap. The Kawasaki rider returned to the track again in third place where he finished ahead of Aprilia‘s Sylvain Guintoli.
