1998 R1200C with ANTI-LOCK BRAKING SYSTEM and a professionally mounted Butler sidecar needs to go to a new owner. This motorcycle has been very well maintained and is in excellent mechanical and cosmetic (see images) condition. It was set up by the well known Perry Busong of Ft. Worth and handles very well on all road surfaces; cruises the interstate with ease. It comes as shown with custom windshild (and the BMW one) and the BMW sidecases. The tires are good to new: sidecar 90% at 3500 mis, front 50% at 8,000 mis and rear 95% at less than 1,000 mis. The rear is a 185x60 R16 metic car tire (good for 25,000+ miles) the others are the long running Avon Mark II. This BMW Motorcycle Festival will feature guided and self-guided test rides both on and off road on the latest machines from BMW Motorrad, seminars from event sponsors like Schuberth Helmets and Twisted Throttle, and excellent riding through the mountains of Southern California. World traveler and author Glen Heggstad will be featured Saturday night with his exciting tales of danger, beauty and people riding a BMW through more than 50 countries.
2014 BMW C evolution Electric Scooter Revealed
Tue, 10 Sep 2013BMW has expanded its maxi-scooter lineup with a new electric-powered model. Officially revealed after a year of testing at various events in Europe such as the 2012 London Olympics, the BMW C evolution is now ready for production, joining the gas-powered C650GT and C600 Sport. The C evolution is powered by a liquid-cooled permanent magnet synchronous motor claiming an European Union-rated 15 hp, though if you really strain the motor peak output can reach 47 hp.
